The US announced Friday it would send additional troops to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in response to the attack on Saudi oil facilities, which the US has blamed on Tehran.Describing the attack as a "dramatic escalation of Iranian aggression," Defense Secretary Mark Esper told reporters at the Pentagon that the troops would be "defensive in nature and primarily focused on air and missile defense" following the attacks on Saudi oil facilities attacks which Esper said "all indications are that Iran was responsible for.""Right now we're focused on helping the Saudis improve their defense infrastructure," Esper said. The administration's goal is to send a "clear message" that the United States supports its partners in the region, will defend the free flow of commerce through the Persian Gulf and demonstrate its commitment to the rules-based international order."As the President has made clear, the United States does not seek conflict with Iran," Esper said, "that said, we have many other military options available should they be necessary."New sanctionsThe Pentagon announcement came hours after 1134

The Trump administration filed a regulation Monday that could dramatically limit the ability of Central American migrants to claim asylum if they enter the United States by land through Mexico, according to a document filed by the Departments of Justice and Homeland Security in the Federal Register. The regulation is the latest attempt by the Trump administration to toughen the US asylum process and has the potential of affecting a large swath of migrants journeying to the US-Mexico border. CNN previously reported that President Donald Trump had been considering the regulation. The regulation would prohibit migrants who have resided in a third country from seeking asylum in the US. It would, therefore, bar migrants transiting through Mexico from being able to claim asylum and as a result, drastically limit who's eligible for asylum. The regulation is an interim final rule, which allows the new restrictions to go into effect immediately. 962
This movie lover turned his passion into a business venture. Travis Bell makes it his business to work with super heroes, promote super stars and celebrate the silver screen's wide range of movies and TV shows through license plates. “We do roughly 200 different license plates from 150 movies and television shows,” Bell says. Eighteen years ago, Bell created Celebrity Machines, after he bought the car known as the General Lee seen on the popular TV show The Dukes of Hazzard.“It always looks weird with an Indiana license plate on the back, so I chased down one of the original prop makers and the people that make the plates for the show," he says. “So, the studio would lean on us to make the actual screen accurate license plates.” His inventory totals more than a quarter of a million. Some of his most popular plates include: The "ECTO-1” plate from Ghostbusters"LUV ME" plate from National Lampoon’s Vacation"OUTATIME" from Back to the FutureBell’s Indiana business consists of an array of pre-cut rectangular metal sheets that’s driven by customers’ fascination of the people and plots behind some of the most iconic films and shows. 1159
