If you’ve been saving old items in hopes they’ll one day be worth something one day, there are things you need to know when collecting.Fifty-Two 80’s: A Totally Awesome Shop in Denver knows a lot about collectibles. From action figures, plush toys and sitcom memorabilia, the store transports customers back into another decade.A majority of kids who grew up in the 80s had most of these toys, and some are worth a small fortune today.“Star Wars is always going to be a good one; it's always going to hold its value," says store owner Tony Vecchio. Other things that may be of value include some TV dolls, Stretch Armstrong figures, comic books and Clash of the Titans action figures. Depending on the year, Beanie Babies can go up and down in value. "Any time you can find boxes of original items, that's going to increase the value,” Vecchio says.Collector Rick Goldschmidt has been collecting things for more than 20 years. “The problem with a lot of people, they collect things that are mass produced by the thousands,” Goldschmidt says. “They think that's going to be worth something 10 to 15 years later.”His top tip on what to keep and what to throw out: make sure your item you are collecting is rare or one-of-a-kind, with preferably less than 1,000 made. Both Goldschmidt and Vecchio say if you want to sell a collector item, start with eBay. Find out how much the item sold for and set your price from there. There are some collectibles that are worth a couple hundred bucks. But, majority of the time, the memory of the items is worth more than the actual item itself. 1590

Iran's Foreign Minster Javad Zarif said that his nation does not "seek escalation or war" following an attack on a pair of Iraqi bases that house US troops early Wednesday morning. Iraqi security officials told CNN that no casualties were reported following the attacks on Al-Asad Airbase and Irbil Airbase in Iraq, where United States troops are stationed. "Iran took & concluded proportionate measures in self-defense under Article 51 of UN Charter targeting base from which cowardly armed attack against our citizens & senior officials were launched," Zarif said. "We do not seek escalation or war, but will defend ourselves against any aggression."Hours after Zarif's statement, Iranian State TV reported that Iran will tell the UN Security Council it will not seek to go to war with the U.S.More than a dozen missiles struck two airbases in Iraq that houses U.S. troops early on Wednesday morning, the Pentagon confirmed. While Zarif said that Iran does not seek to escalate tensions in the Middle East, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said through Iran State TV that the United States would face a broader and stronger response if the US responded to the Iranian missile attack.Zarif has been vocal in his criticism of the U.S., especially President Donald Trump, after the U.S. launched an attack that killed Iranian General Qasem Soleimani last week. "The US' act of international terrorism, targeting & assassinating General Soleimani—THE most effective force fighting Daesh (ISIS), Al Nusrah, Al Qaeda et al—is extremely dangerous & a foolish escalation. The US bears responsibility for all consequences of its rogue adventurism," Zarif previously said. 1703

It appears in the coming hours or days, Congress will approve and the president will sign legislation designed to keep the American economy from collapse as businesses close to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The two parties came to an agreement early Wednesday morning. It appears some finer details of the bill are still being hammered out, but the two sides have agreed on a number of items. Both the Democratic and Republican leaders of the Senate Appropriations Committee have released summaries of what the final bill will likely include. Here is what the bill means for Americans:Checks for Americans: Regardless of employment status, most Americans will see a check from the federal government. The checks will either be ,200 for individuals earning less than ,000 a year, or ,400 for couples earning less than 0,000 a year. An additional 0 will be added for each child. Those figures will be pro rated for individuals making between ,000 and ,000 a year, and for couples making 0,000 to 8,000 a year. It's unknown exactly when individuals would receive these checks, but several members of Congress said they would come early in April. Low income families:The Supplimental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), which is set to receive .51 billion from this legislation, is anticipating increases in participation as a result of coronavirus. Also, the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program program, which is designed to provide energy assistance for low-income families, is set to have 0 million in funding. Food supply:Nearly .5 billion is set for food producers and agriculture. Costs for healthcare:A total of 2.1 billion will be spent on the front lines to combat COVID-19. 0 billion of the funds will go toward a new program to provide grants to hospitals, public entities, not-forprofit entities, and Medicare and Medicaid enrolled suppliers. Another billion will go toward research on how to prevent and cure COVID-19.Nearly .3 billion is expected to go toward local, state and federal health organizations. This money will be used to help purchase coronavirus test kits, and pay for equipment. Funds for education:The Department of Education will distribute more than billion to help stabilize schools and universities that have had to alter operations and rely on remote learning in recent weeks. Nearly half of the money set aside for the Department of Education will be used on higher education to help them combat the virus on campus, provide distance learning and offer grants to students in need. .5 billion is available for formula-grants to States, which will then distribute 90 percent of funds to local educational agencies. In additional 0 million will go toward Head Start to help with emergency staffing needs. For veterans:The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) will have .85 billion in funding to provide healthcare for veterans. This covers treatment of veterans nationwide for coronavirus within VA hospitals in addition to healthcare facilities in the community. In additional .1 billion will go toward supporting telehealth services for veterans. This story will be updated as more details of the bill are released. 3225
