The object of both games is to eliminate all other players and be the last person standing, and both games take place on an island. According to The Verge, both games were also developed on Unreal Engine 4, a system developed by Epic Games.However, the games do have notable differences: Fortnite allows players to gather materials and build fortresses and barriers.While PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has waned in popularity, Fortnite has exploded around the world. The Mormon church is parting ways with the Boy Scouts of America after more than a century.In a joint statement Tuesday night, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Boy Scouts of America announced their decision to end their relationship next year after 105 years.The Boy Scouts serves about 330,000 Mormon youths, and the Mormon church is one of its largest sponsors."We have jointly determined that, effective on December 31, 2019, the church will conclude its relationship as a chartered organization with all Scouting programs around the world," the statement said.The Mormon church said it made the decision because it's expanded outside the United States, and wants to explore new youth programs that serve its international members.It will continue to work fully with the organization and support its goals and values until the end of next year. 878

The Justice Department has dropped its case against a woman who laughed out loud during the confirmation hearing for Attorney General Jeff Sessions, ending months of legal wrangling.The woman, Desiree Fairooz, was protesting with Code Pink, a progressive group whose activists are regularly seen around Washington. She was arrested by a Capitol Police officer after audibly laughing during Sessions' confirmation hearing in January.But prosecutors filed a "nolle prosequi," or notice that it would no longer pursue charges, with the DC Superior Court on Monday.She had been prosecuted by the DC US Attorney's Office and had been convicted of a misdemeanor before a judge threw out the conviction in July and ordered a new trial. The government had decided to retry the case after Fairooz rejected a plea deal, and a trial date had been set for next week.Fairooz tweeted the notice was a "relief" Monday night."Just received this, "Governments Notice of Nolle Prosequi" What a relief! The month of March for Diana Berrent was one she could’ve done without. The 46-year-old woman was one of the first people in New York State to catch COVID-19.To this day, she's still living with residual symptoms six months later.“COVID is supposed to go away like the flu, and it’s not necessarily going away after two weeks,” she explained.In an effort to help find treatments and develop a vaccine, Berrent has been donating plasma as often as she can. It's in her antibodies, where the key to fighting this virus may lie.Dr. Wesley Self, a researcher at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, has spent the last few months trying to figure out what antibodies are telling us about COVID-19 and how to fight it.“Understanding how the immune system responds to the virus will help development of the vaccines,” Dr. Self said.Dr. Self and his colleagues spent the last few months studying 3,000 people. All of them were healthcare workers who had tested positive for COVID-19. They found that a majority of people who had the most severe cases started out with the most antibodies. But the study also found after 60 days, almost everyone who had coronavirus lost all antibodies.That could be bad news when it comes to our bodies' ability to fight off the virus a second time.“The antibodies are one piece of the immune system. It’s possible they’ll ramp up again quickly and prevent reinfection,” Dr. Self added.All of this also means researchers now need to get blood samples from people fairly quickly after they're infected before antibodies disappear.“We need to be thoughtful about vaccines and treatments that are specific for this virus,” he said. 1662

The NFL has revealed some of its plans regarding Super Bowl LV in Tampa. The league is now planning for 20% capacity at the stadium, ESPN reports.Crowds at football games this year have been mixed, with some teams allowing limited fans and some not allowing any guests.ESPN's Adam Schefter also reports if a Week 18 is added to this regular season, the off week would be eliminated and Super Bowl LV would stay on February 7.Tampa is set to host the Super Bowl, and just last month the NFL said it was preparing for a full house.Thousands are also expected to attend events that week along the Riverwalk downtown.Tampa's Mayor Jane Castor said she had a meeting on Tuesday related to the Super Bowl and plans are in place for 16,000 to 70,000 fans and it will take more time to determine how many people will be allowed to attend."We’re going to put on the most spectacular Super Bowl ever under probably the most different circumstances ever, but this is Tampa and we do things big here so it will be safe and it will be spectacular," she added.The President and CEO of the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce Kelly Flannery said in a statement, "The Super Bowl provides for a considerable economic boost for host cities and our local businesses will benefit from having Super Bowl 55 in Tampa in an incredible way."Rob Higgins with Tampa Bay Sports Commission said they are working closely with the NFL and local public health officials to determine what the capacity will be for the Super Bowl."It is not known at this time.
