According to NASA, on Tuesday, October 6, Mars will be close enough to simply go outside and see with the naked eye.NASA says this lineup happens only about once every two years. (WXYZ) — Nearly 100,000 children tested positive for COVID-19 in the last two weeks of July, according to a new report from the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Children’s Hospital Association.According to the report, 97,078 kids tested positive for coronavirus between July 16 and July 30, which is nearly 1/3 of the total confirmed cases of children in the U.S. since the beginning of the pandemic.The report found that around 338,000 children tested positive for coronavirus since the pandemic began. Over the last two weeks of July, the number of positive tests increased 40%.According to the report, the academy looked at state numbers that were considered children. The age ranges vary by state, and in Michigan, it includes anyone 19 and younger, but the state recently started reporting age groups 0-9 and 10-19. (KGTV) -- The controversial immigrant caravan is inching it's way closer to the San Diego border, with at least 132 people already in Tijuana. Many of the migrants plan to walk across the pedestrian bridge in San Ysidro and turn themselves in to the customs officers. The group of more than 600 has ridden trains and walked for miles to get to the United States - Mexico border.  Enrique Morones and his team - known as Border Angels - are sending supplies to Tijuana. "The Border Angels have been very supportive, we've had people on the caravan, we have been collecting items for the caravan," he said. "These people that are coming on a caravan are escaping a situation in their country that they're seeking refuge from. Let's welcome that stranger. Give me your poor, your tired your huddled masses."Jorge Nieto, a journalist following the immigrants' journey, says they have been arriving in Tijuana in small groups - 50 to 100 at a time.Nieto was told that once the whole group is together, they'll cross all at once. The caravan hasn't been without controversy.President Trump tweeted this week, saying he instructed the secretary of homeland security to keep the large caravan out of the U.S., and asked Mexico to keep the immigrants from going through the Country. RELATED: Migrant caravan heads to US-Mexico border "They're trying to escape something. Either hunger or violence or some sort of a war that's going on," Nieto said. "One of the reasons that they go in caravans is there's a power in groups. (KGTV) — While the North Complex Fire has left hundreds of thousands of acres charred, first responders found a sign of hope buried beneath the rubble last week.Butte County Sheriff's Office deputies and search and rescue personnel were sifting through the rubble of properties in the Berry Creek area on Friday, Sept. 11, when they made the unexpected and miraculous discovery.A puppy was discovered underneath blackened and charred remains of a property, according to the department. The puppy had some minor burns and was taken to Valley Oak Veterinary Center in Chico for treatment.BCSO says that the property owner reportedly had several dogs and was not able to locate the one that was left behind before evacuating in time.Deputies decided it was only appropriate to name the dog "Trooper" after finding it alive.A social media post by the department was filled with gratitude and heartwarming messages, as Northern California has seen the North Complex Fire burn 258,802 acres through Butte and Plumas counties since Aug. 18.
