Citigroup has terminated a manager following an investigation into his role operating a prominent website dedicated to QAnon conspiracy theory, according to Bloomberg.Jason Gelinas was placed on paid leave in mid-September after he was identified by Logically.ai as the operator of QMap.pub and it’s affiliated apps.“Mr. Gelinas is no longer employed by Citi,” the company said in a statement to Bloomberg. “Our code of conduct includes specific policies that employees are required to adhere to, and when breaches are identified, the firm takes action.”Gelinas was a manager in Citigroup;s technology department. The company says employees have to disclose outside business activity where they receive compensation.Gelinas was reportedly earning about ,000 a month from a crowdfunding site supporting the QAnon site he ran. He says the money helped cover the monthly operating costs.QMap once drew a reported 10 million visitors a month over the summer. Once Gelinas was identified, the site was taken down.QAnon began a few years ago as a single conspiracy theory. Collin Green sent notice to Chief Petty Officer Edward Gallagher that his status as a SEAL is under review, according to his lawyer.The process, commonly called a Trident Review, could strip Gallagher of his trident pin and remove him from the SEAL teams, though his rank and paygrade in the Navy would not be changed.“It’s ordinarily a procedure used for a substandard performer or somebody who’s committing safety violations,” said Timothy Parlatore, a civilian attorney for Gallagher.RELATED: Trump restores rank of San Diego Navy SEAL following war crimes caseParlatore said Gallagher is planning on retiring as soon as possible, so the move to strip his trident pin would not have any dramatic effect on his current role.“It has no legitimate value for someone about to retire,” said Parlatore. “It is purely a retaliation. CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. — A copy of a school quiz entitled "Does Nikolas Cruz Deserve to Die?" recently gained a lot of attention on social media.The quiz was meant to be an assignment on the death penalty. School officials say it was distributed to students at Coral Glades High School in Coral Springs, Florida last week. The high school is just a few miles away from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School where Cruz shot and killed 17 students and staff earlier this year.Stoneman Douglas parents like Cindy Levine are furious."These people lost their children, for crying out loud," Levine said. "And my son could have been one of them."The outrage spilled onto social media. Stoneman Douglas survivor and student activist Cameron Kasky, quoted in the quiz, tweeted "I cannot begin to express how pathetic I find this." School board critic Andrew Pollack, who lost his daughter in the school shooting, tweeted: "This is absolutely despicable." And, "Does anyone @browardschools have a brain?"School staff posted a message on the school website Friday saying they were unaware of the assignment.It said the material was from a subscription-based publication and has been pulled.The school said it's instituting a review and regrets the incident occurred.Scholastic, the publisher, sent WPLG a statement that their intention was to "... provide a platform for meaningful conversations around the history, civics and social impact of the death penalty. CLEVELAND, Ohio — A 10-year-old boy has been arrested and charged in the fatal shooting of his stepmother in late September, Cleveland police announced on Friday.According to authorities, Shavonne Willis, 36, was shot multiple times in the 3200 block of East 121st Street. One of the restaurants, The Henry, is facing backlash over accusations that it was not transparent with its patrons.On Facebook, The Henry posted the following message on Monday night.“Coronado neighbors,We apologize for not being more transparent with you about our first COVID positive case last week. Even though we messed up our communication, please know that we took all the right actions to make sure our guests, our employees and our restaurant space were as safe as possible before we re-opened.We went through our entire protocol for a COVID exposure the night after we became aware one of our employees was COVID positive. This includes third-party sanitation of the restaurant, contacting all employees before they returned to work to make sure we knew who had CDC defined exposure to the COVID employee and making sure all employees had access to testing at our cost, regardless of exposure. We got lucky that we were able to get this done so quickly. That has not always been the case. In another restaurant out-of-state, we had to close a restaurant for nearly a week as we waited for the sanitation company and sufficient staff to safely reopen. No one in our industry is happy about the fact we are all getting more experienced and better at responding to COVID exposures.Some of you have asked us why we did not notify the San Diego Health Department about the COVID positive employee. We know the employee's health care provider has notified the Health Department and that we, as employers, are not required to do so. But because of your question today and after calling the San Diego Health Department who encouraged voluntary notification, the Henry is committing to do so. With all of this in mind, this evening we notified the Health Department that we received information about a second COVID positive employee.The employee in this second case was last in the restaurant on Thursday, July 2. When ABC10News asked about whether restaurant employers are required to do the same, the County referred us to the state’s website which reports in part that employers should prepare to notify their local health department if there’s an outbreak or lab confirmed cases in the workplace.On Tuesday, ABC10 News asked The Henry for an interview.
