SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A motorist suffered serious injuries Thursday morning when the person's vehicle crashed into a wall on an Interstate 8 transition ramp in the Mission Valley area.The crash was reported around 1:15 a.m. on the I-8 west transition ramp to northbound state Route 163, according to a California Highway Patrol incident log.CHP officers responded to the scene and found a vehicle had crashed into a wall, leaving it with major front end damage, according to the incident log. The driver was taken to a hospital for treatment of major injuries.No details about the driver or the vehicle were immediately available.CHP officers were investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash. 708

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Nearly half of San Diego County's 1.95 million voters have cast their ballots in the Nov. 3 election, the Registrar of Voters reported Thursday.More than 937,000 ballots had been received as of Thursday, according to the registrar's office.Mail-in ballots were sent to all registered voters in the county on Oct. 5, even those who had not requested one.Ballots received by the registrar's office this week should be processed in time for the first release of election night results to be posted shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday.Voters can return their marked ballot in the pre-paid postage envelope to any U.S. Postal Service office or collection box. He faces life in prison if convicted, said Deputy District Attorney Nicole Roth.Merron allegedly attacked the woman as she was cleaning the coffee shop in the 1700 block of India Street about 4:30 a.m. last Sunday, pushing her into a back room, taking her car keys and threatening her with a knife.Following a struggle, the victim, whose name was withheld, was able to break free and run out of the building, said San Diego police Lt.
