St. Louis Zoo officials are trying to solve the mystery of how a 62-year-old ball python laid seven eggs without being around a male python for at least two decades. An expert at the zoo says it’s unusual but not rare for ball pythons to reproduce asexually. Pythons also sometimes store sperm for delayed fertilization. The zoo say the birth is also unusual because ball pythons stop laying eggs long before they reach their 60s. The python laid the eggs in July. Three of the eggs remain in an incubator, two were used for genetic sampling and snakes in the other two eggs did not survive. 599

(KGTV) -- Some residents in Solana Beach are sharing their concerns about what appears to have been an organized illegal street racing event held over the weekend.A huge crowd of people gathered to watch several cars racing through the intersection, doing donuts and wheelies on Lomas Santa Fe Drive at Via Mil Cumbres on Saturday night at around 9:30 p.m."All of a sudden, we were completely stopped, and there are cars, and smoke and you hear tires squealing and we were trapped, so we were sitting ducks there," said Sally Fleck.Fleck said she had no idea what was happening."It looked like zombies to be quite honest, because there was so much smoke and it was so loud, I've lived here 20 some odd years and I've never seen anything like that," said Fleck.Dozens of residents posted pictures and video of the incident on social media."There were people, they were standing around watching cars do wheelies, it's lucky that no one got killed," said Fleck.The San Diego County Sheriff's Department confirmed it took several calls regarding the incident. Still, one of the reporting parties called back to say the group was gone before deputies were dispatched."I hope that it never happens again, and I'm really shocked that nobody was hurt. (KGTV) — The son of a Spring Valley couple killed in an accident in Hawaii is honoring them by creating a space for others to find peace.“This isn’t going to get easier, it’s going to get harder," Joseph Harmes says as he talks about the death of his mom, Gladys, and step-father, George Novinger.The family was vacationing in Hawaii when Gladys and George were crossing a river and fell to their death in 2017. Another touch will be beautifying a koi pond which was a favorite spot for Gladys. He says she named a lot of the koi after aunts and uncles in Spain.
