SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Three businesses were destroyed last weekend by an act of hate in Mission Hills.It happened at the 'Capello' and 'Beautiful You' salons Saturday morning. Leather chairs were slashed and destroyed. Appliances and flooring were completely flooded after the culprit left the sinks running all night. "They slashed all of the chairs, styling chairs, shampoo chairs, there was detergent everywhere, shampoo everywhere," said 'Beautiful You' manager, Shanell Cedeno.Even an architecture studio one floor down took a hit from the water that went seeping through the salon's ceiling, damaging blueprints and computers. Management thinks the culprit is a former employee of the salon. "Clearly it has to be someone who has a key," said Cedeno. "It's targeted and it was a hateful act someone who clearly dislikes what we're doing here."The damage is estimated at tens of thousands of dollars. "Karma will definitely take its place first before they find them, I'm sure," said Cedeno. "If it's not happening already, it's coming for them."An investigation is underway. Coli were reported among Marine recruits, according to the Marine Corps Recruit Depot.Although 19 new cases were reported, the number of recruits still recovering from the illness fell to 86 Thursday. Tuesday, 302 recruits were reportedly undergoing treatment for E. Coli. That number fell again Wednesday as 214 recruits were still undergoing treatment.RELATED: 26 more Marine recruits sickened by E. coli, according to MCRD"The command is continuing to take precautionary measures and care for those who are affected," said Brig. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a threat phoned in Thursday to a Spring Valley elementary school. A male, possibly underage, called Bancroft Elementary on Tyler Street about 2:45 p.m. to say there would be a shooting at the school, deputies said. The caller also said the school should go on lockdown. School officials initiated the lockdown and alerted the Sheriff’s Department, which sent deputies to the scene. California Highway Patrol officers also responded to the school. No other threats were made, and no other information substantiated the caller’s threat. Bancroft Elementary released students without incident under the watch of law enforcement officers, Sheriff’s Sergeant Michael Hettinger reported. 767
