A suspicious package targeting billionaire investor and philanthropist George Soros was rendered safe in Bedford, New York on Monday, a law enforcement source told CNN.The Bedford Police say they received a call reporting a suspicious package found in a mailbox. The package appeared to be an explosive device, police said.An employee had opened the parcel. She spoke with the woman and quickly realized they were being scammed.The restaurant alerted Xavier officials, who had already received two other reports of this same behavior. “I guess she just looked like a normal woman trying to raise money for her kid,” Harris explained. “It kind of blows your mind. A suspect has been arrested in the package bombing at a church in Beaumont, Texas, as well as a bomb found outside a Starbucks coffee shop that did not detonate, authorities said Friday.Jonathan M. Torres, 40, of Beaumont, was charged Friday with use of an explosive to cause property damage; possession of an unregistered destructive device (improvised destructive device); and mailing a threatening communication, according to court records.Torres' first court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday. A political action committee is putting up a billboard in a strategic place for President Trump to see when he visits Mar-a-Lago.The message will say: “Impeachment Now, Make America America Again!”According to Mad Dog PAC, they are installing the billboard along East Shannondale Road.
