BEIJING, June 8 (Xinhua) -- China and five Central Asia countries will hold their third cooperation forum in Rizhao, Shandong Province next Tuesday.

Prior to the Xi-Abe meeting, the two side reached a four-point principled agreement to improve bilateral ties, in which the two sides agreed to resume political, diplomatic and security dialogue while acknowledging different positions on the Diaoyu Islands.

Substantial efforts were made to alleviate poverty, including more government funds for infrastructure in the least-developed rural areas and relocation of people in uninhabitable regions.

The move came as the visiting premier addressed the Santiago-based Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) after he briefly met with Alicia Barcena, executive secretary of the UN body.
