SOLON, Ohio — An Ohio police department is warning of a Netflix email phishing scam that is asking people to update their payment details after one of their officers, who doesn't even have a Netflix account, received the email.The city of Solon, Ohio Police Department put out the warning, saying criminals want you to click the links so that you voluntarily give out your personal information. The links also could install malware on your computer.In a photo, the very real-looking email it asks users to update their payment details, saying the account is on hold."Hi Dear, We're having some trouble with your current billing information. We'll try again, but in the meantime you may want to update your payment details," the email reads, with a link to update the account.Netflix said if you believe you have received a fraudulent email appearing to be from the company, never enter your details, never click on any links and do not reply to it. SPRING VALLEY (KGTV) -- An hours-long SWAT standoff came to an end Thursday evening in Spring Valley. According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the incident began around 1:30 on the 10700 block of Jamacha Boulevard. Deputies tried to serve the man with a warrant when he barricaded himself inside his home. The man was taken into custody around 6:30 p.m., the department says. Several nearby mobile homes were evacuated during the standoff. It's unclear at this time what the suspect was wanted for. 522
Starbucks announced Friday that it would be providing its baristas with Black Lives Matter T-shirts."Black Lives Matter. "The Starbucks Black Partner Network co-designed t-shirts with this graphic that will soon be sent to 250,000+ store partners."Starbucks' decision to provide employees with Black Lives Matter shirts comes days after BuzzFeed reported that employees were told they were prohibited from wearing apparel with the slogan at work.According to BuzzFeed, a corporate memo was sent out in response to some managers' inquiries about allowing employees to wear BLM apparel that stated that the movement "could be misunderstood and potentially incite violence."Starbucks reportedly classified Black Lives Matter apparel in the same category as "religious or political personal accessories." It's a disturbing generational shift that puts young people in greater peril than many realize and poses an even bigger danger to the older people who cross their paths. National figures show that almost as soon as states began reopening, people 18 to 49 years old quickly became the age bracket most likely to be diagnosed with new cases. And although every age group saw an increase in cases during the first week in June, the numbers shot up fastest in the younger age group.“The virus hasn’t changed. We have changed our behaviors,” said Ali Mokdad, professor of health metrics sciences at the University of Washington in Seattle according to The Associated Press. “Younger people are more likely to be out and taking a risk.”In Florida, people aged between 15 and 34 make up nearly a third of all cases of COVID-19 in the state. In the past week, two 17-year-olds have died after contracting the virus.Officials fear that a surge in infections among older Americans could come next.“People between the ages 18 and 50 don’t live in some sort of a bubble,” Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt said, according to The Associated Press. “They are the children and grandchildren of vulnerable people. CouponFollow conducted a Black Friday shopping survey and found 39% of surveyed shoppers say they're going to gift a face covering to their loved ones."About 33-34% expect to be giving some type of hand sanitizer. So, this year, the stockings might be full not so much of candy but of these more COVID-related products," said DuDell.CouponFollow also looked at how much money people will be spending this holiday season, and broke it down by generation.
