LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) — A decision on possible charges in the Breonna Taylor case could be expected soon.Multiple sources tell WAVE 3 News the case is being presented to a grand jury this week at an undisclosed location. One of the sources said an announcement is not expected from Attorney General Daniel Cameron's office until next week, near the six-month mark of Taylor's death.Taylor, a 26-year-old emergency medical worker, was killed by Louisville police serving a "no-knock" narcotics search warrant at her apartment. They found no drugs in her home. An officer was shot during the raid by Taylor's boyfriend, who has said he thought he was defending against a home invasion. The boyfriend was initially charged, but those charges were later dropped. The Louisville Metro Police Department fired one of the officers involved, Brett Hankison, in June, saying he violated procedures by showing "extreme indifference to the value of human life." The other officers involved in the case — Jon Mattingly and Myles Cosgrove — have been placed on administrative reassignment. After nearly six months of investigations, the defense legal team released more than 1,200, graphic, evidence photos from inside and outside Breonna Taylor's Louisville apartment. They show evidence officers may have had body cameras at the scene. The grand jury will decide whether any of the officers involved should face criminal charges. This story was originally reported on LEX18.com. 1474

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Sharon Osbourne announced Monday that she’s tested positive for the novel coronavirus. In a tweet, the TV personality said she was briefly hospitalized due to COVID-19, but she’s now recuperating at a location away from her husband, Ozzy. She added that he has tested negative for the virus.“Everyone please stay safe and healthy,” she tweeted.Osbourne is a co-host on “The Talk,” which is currently on a scheduled hiatus. The 68-year-old's COVID-19 diagnosis comes days after one of her co-hosts, Carrie Ann Inaba, revealed she test positive for the virus as well.Osbourne and her husband are both considered high risk for COVID-19. She battled and overcame colon cancer, while the rock star has Parkinson’s disease.Around the beginning of the pandemic, their daughter Kelly said she was staying home for her parents and encouraged others to do the same to prevent spreading the virus.“The truth is I am scared too. Both of my parents are high risk especially my dad,” she wrote in an Instagram caption. “If I would have known 3 weeks ago when I sent them off to panama that that was gonna be the last time I got to hug and kiss them for a while… I would have held on a little longer. However, these are the sacrifices we must make. I stay home for my mum and dad.” 1294

Many Americans have dealt with new, stressful situations during the COVID-19 pandemic. Loss of work, isolation, lack of exercise and routines, and much more. Now, headache and migraine specialists across the country say those new stresses are bringing in more patients to their offices."This has been the perfect storm for people who suffer from migraines. First of all, we know stress and anxiety and depression can increase even the amount of headaches. Certainly, people who aren't even anxious or depressed before are experiencing this," said Dr. Charisse Litchman, a headache specialist and neurologist at Stamford Health in Connecticut. Dr. Litchman also serves as a medical adviser for Nurx, a digital practice for women's health that's just started doing home delivery of migraine medications to help patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Litchman says triggers from the pandemic, including a spike in stress on top of irregular sleep and diet, has prompted the increase in patients where she works."I would say we are given a great deal, maybe 20% more [headache] patients reaching out for help who had never reached out before," said Dr. Litchman.Dr. Litchman says she's also seen more headache and migraine patients who were coping well before the pandemic, but suddenly needed help again.Dr. Merle Diamond with Diamond Headache Clinic in Chicago agrees. "I'm actually seeing some people I haven't seen in three to four years. And they were like, 'I was doing fine,' and I'm like 'yes, these are really challenging times,'" explained Dr. Diamond. Diamond Headache has also seen a 20% increase in patients since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. "I think patients' schedules are being disrupted in this piece. I think the anxiety, everything going on. I also think that we don't have a lot of our other outlets going on. We can't watch sports, there's just a lot of changes and I think that's been really difficult for patients," said Dr. Diamond.Dr. Diamond has some pieces of advice for those experiencing increased headaches or migraines during this time. The first and most important is to get a diagnosis and plan for treatment from a doctor. The second is to get into a regular routine."When you have a migraine, one of the things we know about a migraine brain is it likes things regular. So you've gone from going into the office where your day job is and now you're working from home and managing all those home issues at the same time. So try to keep yourself on as reasonable a schedule as you can," said Dr. Diamond. Also, don't skip meals, keep yourself hydrated and lower caffeine intake. 2627

Mark Kelly, a former astronaut and husband of former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, was sworn in as a U.S. senator on Wednesday afternoon.Kelly, a Democrat, defeated Sen. Martha McSally in a November special election. McSally had been appointed by Gov. Doug Ducey to serve in the seat once occupied by Sen. John McCain, who died in 2018.Because Kelly was elected in a special election, he is being sworn in ahead of newly-elected Senators, who will assume their roles early next year.Kelly's seat is one of three Democrats flipped on election day, while Republicans were able to flip one seat back into their control. Control of the chamber remains dependant on the outcome of two runoff elections in Georgia, which will take place in January.During his NASA career, Kelly flew four missions to space and totaled more than 54 days outside of the Earth's atmosphere. His twin brother, Scott, is also an astronaut.Kelly's first foray into politics came via his wife. Giffords was first elected as a congresswoman in 2006, but in 2011, a gunman shot her in the head during an assassination attempt. She survived the shooting but resigned her seat in early 2012 to focus on the recovery.Kelly is at least the second former astronaut to serve in the U.S. Senate, following in the footsteps of John Glenn, who was the first man to orbit the earth and served as a senator representing Ohio from 1974 to 1999. 1403

MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Supreme Court has ruled against President Trump's lawsuit and latest attempt to overturn the state's election results. The ruling came just an hour before Wisconsin's electoral college voters were set to confirm Biden's win in the state.President Trump's legal team took the lawsuit to the state Supreme Court after losing in Milwaukee County Court last week. The court previously refused to hear the case before it went through lower courts. The Supreme Court met in a rare weekend session to listen to arguments in the case. The decision came down just before 11 a.m. CT Monday. Biden won Wisconsin by about 20,600 votes, a margin that withstood a Trump-requested recount in the state’s two largest counties. 747
