SAN DIEGO (KGTV) San Diego Police are investigating the discovery of three bodies found in the trunk of a parked car in Bay Terraces. Police found the bodies in a car parked on Jaime Avenue at Doti Point Drive after a neighbor reported a suspicious vehicle just before five pm Sunday. According to police, the bodies are that of two women and a man, possibly in their late teens or early twenties. They say the bodies were in such poor condition. They were unable to determine race. The medical examiner is working to determine the cause of death and their identities. Neighbors say the car was parked on the street for three days, but that's not uncommon.“A lot of people will park and they will walk to those apartments behind here or they park and they go to someone’s house over here, so it’s not really that suspicious," said Kevin Totten. Totten grew up in the neighborhood. He said it's usually quiet and is home to mainly families."It seems like someone did what they did, to these three innocent people and drove around and was looking for a spot to dump a car with three bodies in it," said Totten. After neighbors started noticing an odor, one of them called police Sunday evening."Once the wind would kind of blow, you can smell like, it’s hard to explain. I’ve never smelled that before. I thought well maybe it was like trash, but then a more pungent odor than that," said one mom who didn't want to be identified.The woman said once police arrived she noticed fluids coming from the car. "Once the police were here and they were kind of looking to see what was going on you could see the car and what looked like blood dripping from it. I’m like do I need counseling? Do my kids need counseling? It’s a lot to take in,” said the woman. Police aren't releasing any information about the investigation. Neighbors say the car was an older model BMW either silver or gray in color. They also said it had out of state plates. "Whomever the victims are, the families, hopefully they can figure who they are and sort of bring closure to them," said the woman. 2085

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego health officials reported three unrelated cases of Tuberculosis, one at a South Bay high school and two others at U.S. Navy ships docked in San Diego.One case was reported at San Ysidro High School, according to the county. Health and Human Services Agency and Sweetwater Union High School District officials are warning individuals who were potentially exposed from Jan. 16 to May 31. County staff is providing free testing for students who may have potentially been exposed. The school district will provided staff potentially exposed with free testing as well.The Navy and HHSSA officials are working to alert potentially exposed contractors who worked on two Navy ships between Jan. 10 and July 18:Huntington Ingalls Industries employees who worked on the USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD-6), docked at Naval Base San Diego, from January 10 to June 8.General Dynamics NASSCO employees working on the USS Makin Island (LHD-8), docked at NASSCO from March 23 to July 18.The two ships were not accessible to the public and exposure to Navy personnel was extremely limited, according to the county. Contractors are working with occupational health providers to offer free testing.“Testing is recommended for all those exposed to assure they are not infected, since initial infection usually has no symptoms,” said Wilma Wooten, County public health officer. “For any infected individuals, early diagnosis and prompt treatment can prevent the infectious form of the disease.”Tuberculosis is transmitted from person-to-person through indoor air during prolonged contact with an infected individual. The county says most people who are exposed don't become infected.Symptoms include persistent cough, fever, night sweats, and unexplained weight loss. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego home values continue to grow as the market shows signs of slowing, according to a report by Zillow. The company says the median home value in San Diego currently sits at 1,500, rising just over one percent year-over-year. According to Zillow, at this time last year, home values were growing by about 6.1 percent. San Diego’s housing inventory also increased over the last year, jumping six percent. According to the site, there are 531 more homes on the market than last July. In the rest of the U.S., the median home is worth 9,000, up 5.2 percent from a year ago. By this time last year, home values in the U.S. rose at 7.7 percent. Despite the slowing trend, Zillow says home values are still growing in 48 of the top 50 markets. Zillow says San Jose and San Francisco are the exceptions, indicating stabilizing values following a period of extreme growth. 906

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Residents of several inland North County communities tell 10News they are fed up with the numerous delays which have led to a series of road improvement projects to take more than two years to complete.The most impactful is the widening of Rancho Bernardo Road between I-15 and Bernardo Center Drive.Work on that stretch began in February of 2017 and was projected to take six to seven months. It's almost a year past that point.
