SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are searching for additional victims after arresting a man they say tried to drag a 17-year-old girl to his car in North Park in late May. According to police, the attempted kidnapping happened around 7:15 a.m. on the corner of 30th Street and El Cajon Boulevard May 31. Police say Thomas Luis Salas, 38, approached the 17-year-old at a bus stop before making casual conversation. He then extended his hand for a handshake and, when the juvenile shook his hand, police say Salas tried to grab her arm and pull her toward his light blue 2011 Ford Escape. The 17-year-old fought back and was able to get away. Investigators were able to track down and identify Salas as the suspect in the case. He was arrested on attempted kidnapping charges. His bail is set at 0,000. Police are asking additional victims to come forward. Salas is a Hispanic man five feet, nine inches tall and weighs 220 pounds. He was unshaven with a goatee. Police say Salas’ eyes have a “sleepy” appearance. He also has a large tattoo on his right arm of a cartoon face inside a “sunburst” or “Flame” design. According to police, Salas may have approached other juvenile women with his phone out attempting to engage in conversation. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Quiet neighborhood walks have turned disturbing for a growing number of women in Rancho Bernardo.Along Paseo Lucido, feet from a park, Lauren was walking her dog one early evening two weeks ago. She walked past the passenger side of an older, white, 2-door Toyota."The front windows were down and the seat was back ... looked over inside the car and saw he was exposing himself and touching himself," said Lauren.'He' was a large man in his 30s with short dark hair."He smiled when he saw me looking. I immediately looked away. Just very anxious and scared," said Lauren.Lauren took off for a neighbor's house. When she returned minutes later, the car was gone. About a week later - around 6:30 a.m. last Thursday - Robbie was blocks away on Avenida Venusto when a similar car, driven by a man with a similar description, pulled ahead of her and parked in a red zone."Kind of slouched back. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police officers chased down two drivers in stolen cars, but only one man was arrested early Wednesday morning.According to San Diego Police, officers spotted a BMW that had just been stolen driving down Hotel Circle South in Mission Valley around 2 a.m. They followed the car, which appeared to be following another car, a black Dodge Charger.When officers tried to pull them over, both drivers sped off in different directions.Just when officers thought they lost the BMW, they found it in a Serra Mesa neighborhood. They moved in with their guns drawn and surrounded the car, but no one was inside.Officers eventually found the suspect hiding in a nearby shed and took him into custody.The driver of the Dodge Charger led officers towards Mission Valley, but that car was later found abandoned behind a Verizon store. 847

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – Police arrested a man suspected of assaulting multiple people as he tried to steal their vehicles in the Bay Terraces area.Police reported at around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at a red light on Woodman Street and Paradise Hills Road.Police said the unidentified man tried to carjack five people at the red light before being arrested.One of the victims suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to police.
