Police in tense downtown Portland on Saturday ordered protesters to disperse and leave a location where they saw people throwing projectiles, including rocks and bottles."Failure to comply with this order may subject you to arrest or citation, and may subject you to the use of riot control agents or impact weapons," police said on Twitter and on a loudspeaker at the scene. This came as dueling political rallies took place and police braced for potential violence. They told people not to bring weapons and warned that checkpoints and bomb-sniffing dogs would be on hand.Members of law enforcement -- who wore heavy armor on the streets -- ran toward protesters and continued to move them farther away from the location where flash-bang grenades were deployed, a CNN affiliate live signal from the ground shows."We aren't here to fight the police," a protester yelled. "We're here to fight the Trump supporters." 922

PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi, one of the most prominent women to lead a Fortune 500 company, will step down on Oct. 3.She will remain as chairwoman of the board of directors until early 2019. Nooyi, 62, will be replaced by Pepsi's global operations chief Ramon Laguarta, 54.Nooyi, who was born in India, is one of a handful of people of color to lead a Fortune 500 company. She helped turn Pepsi into one of the most successful food and beverage companies in the world. Sales grew 80% during her 12-year tenure. She spearheaded Pepsi's transition to a greener, more environmentally aware company.Nooyi has been with Pepsi for 24 years. Before becoming CEO she led the company's expansion through acquisitions, including its 2001 purchase of Quaker Oats Co. She earned million last year, and million over the last three years, according to company filings."Growing up in India, I never imagined I'd have the opportunity to lead such an extraordinary company," she said. Her departure leaves only 24 women leading Fortune 500 companies, after Beth Ford became the CEO of Land O'Lakes just last week. Just more than a year ago there were 32 women leading Fortune 500 companies, meaning that the number of women in top jobs at the nation's largest companies has dropped by more than 20% in just over a year.Since the middle of last year several high-profile female CEOs announced they were stepping down last year, including Marissa Mayer at Yahoo, Irene Rosenfeld at Mondelez and Meg Whitman of Hewlett Packard Enterprise.Related: Why it matters so much every time a woman CEO leavesLaguarta, Nooyi's successor, has served as president of PepsiCo since September 2017, overseeing global operations, corporate strategy, public policy and government affairs. Laguarta is also an immigrant, having been born in Spain. He had previously been CEO of the European and sub-Saharan African unit of Pepsi before being named the company's president.Nooyi praised her successor, calling him "exactly the right person to build on our success."Pepsi's stock lagged the broader market in recent years, and it has trailed rival Coca-Cola. Shares are down 1.5% this year, compared to a 5% rise in the S&P 500 index. Shares of Pepsi were slightly higher in pre-market trading.Americans' growing distaste for sugary sodas has hurt both Coke and Pepsi. In 2014 activist investor Nelson Peltz pushed for Pepsi to spin off its snack business as a separate company. But Nooyi was able to fight off calls to break up the company..-- CNNMoney's Paul R. Parents know that a road trip with a baby can be a nightmare. Even stopping for a break hardly counts as "rest." And when it comes to twins? Forget about it.One Reddit user, posting under the handle "neroiscariot" found himself in that exact situation. He says he was returning from his brother's funeral with his wife and twin babies when the family stopped at an IHOP. In an already stressful situation, the poster says he was struggling to keep his children calm.Though the two fussy children seemed to be bothering diners around the restaurant, one customer went of their way to brighten the family's day."A stranger picked up our tab at IHOP while my wife and I were struggling to keep our twin babies calm. We cried," neroiscariot posted. He included a photo of a receipt that included the message "Just breathe you're doing great :)."  875

Police searched early Thursday for a man who robbed a Nashville area pizza chain at gunpoint.Metro Nashville Police officers were called to the Domino's Pizza on Hamilton Crossing in Antioch at about midnight Thursday.  Two employees told officers they heard the drive-thru bell go off, and saw a Toyota Camry parked a short distance from the window. When one of the employees approached the window, he told officers a man who had been crouching below the window jumped up and pointed a handgun at the worker.Police said the suspect then crawled through the drive-thru window and demanded the workers empty the cash register. He took the cash and left the Domino's through the drive-thru window. The victims told police they saw the suspect get into the white Toyota Camry they saw parked away from the window. Neither Domino's worker was hurt in the robbery. Investigators don't have much in the way of a description of the suspect, as the victims told them he had his face covered with a black and white bandana. Officers at the scene told us there is surveillance video that they are reviewing. The video has not been released to the public just yet.  1197
