SALEM, Ore. — As protesters around the country call for police reform following the death of Geroge Floyd, Oregon has released a list of more than 1,000 police officers who have been banned from working in law enforcement in the state.The document, created by Oregon's Department of Public Safety Standards and Training, lists over 1,700 people whose transgressions over the past 50 years were so serious that they were banned from working in law enforcement in the state.The list was published last week after the state Legislature passed a law requiring the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training to create such a database.According to The Associated Press, at least one officer was hired in another state after he was decertified in Oregon. "I would attribute this jump to record-low interest rates and an abundance of buyers in the marketplace, including buyers of vacation homes given the greater flexibility to work from home."In fact, the NAR says sales in so-called vacation destination counties have increased 34 percent year-over-year.However, supply is dwindling. The NAR estimates there is only about a 2.7-month supply of unsold existing homes given the current sales pace. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A 44-year-old man suffered a serious cut on his hand early Monday morning when he was attacked by a woman with a knife after parking his car in the City Heights area, police said.It happened shortly before 12:10 a.m. in the 4900 block of University Avenue, east of Euclid Avenue, San Diego police Officer John Buttle said.A 44-year-old man had just parked his car on University Avenue when a woman in her 20s walked up to him and said he owed her some money, Buttle said.The woman then tried to stab him in the neck, but he raised his hand and she cut the webbing of his hand, slashing an artery, the officer said.The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of his injury, which was not believed to be life-threatening, Buttle said.The suspect was last seen walking southbound on 50th Street from University Avenue. SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — A teenager was hospitalized after he was shot by a police officer in Salt Lake City Friday night.According to Salt Lake City police Sgt. Keith Horrocks, officers were dispatched to the area of 500 South and Navajo Street just after 10 p.m. on reports of a "juvenile" — police did not release his exact age — having a mental health episode and threatening people with a weapon.Police say the boy fled on foot when officers arrived, and one officer shot him.Officers administered aid until medical personnel arrived and transported the boy to a local hospital in serious condition.Wesley Barton, who said he is the boy's brother, tweeted that he is 13 years old and is in stable condition.An officer-involved critical incident protocol investigation has been launched, which includes an investigation conducted by local departments other than Salt Lake City Police Department (SLCPD).
