So, we need to be thinking about now, ‘How can we get in front of people more frequently?’” said Lacey Book, a business consultant specializing in helping small businesses succeed. “Essentially, we need to get in front of people and cut through the noise of everything else.”In these challenging times, she offered specific tips for navigating through December.Among her ideas:Make sure your business has a web presence that is easy to navigate. The race for a COVID-19 vaccine appears to be on the horizon. But without large numbers of Americans getting the vaccine, the notion of herd immunity could be a challenge. Some are pondering whether people should be required to get a vaccine.Coronavirus cases are spiking across most of the country. Hospital ICU beds are becoming scarce, and a number of states are warning of potential lockdowns.“If they don’t start to bend this curve, then it is clear that we’re going to have to take more difficult measures and go to a stay-at-home order,” said Illinois Governor JB Pritzker.But there was some good news this week. Pfizer concluded phase three of its vaccine study. The two-shot course they say is 95 percent effective against COVID-19. At least 123 individuals have been investigated for incidents of misconduct involving the non-consensual distribution of explicit images, according to officials. Of those cases, 22 were of civilians outside Department of Defense jurisdiction and 101 were active-duty or reserve Marines.USMC said 82 cases concerning active-duty or reserve Marines have been ruled on while 19 await a decision.The Marine's investigation of the "Marines United" Facebook page prompted a full-scale look into misconduct across social media. Naval Criminal Investigative Service scanned nearly 131,000 images across 168 social media sites.Last year, nude photographs of female Marines and veterans from various military branches and other women were shared on the "Marines United" page.
