The U.S. Senate unanimously voted to pass the PACT Act on Tuesday, which will make animal cruelty a federal felony. "This is commonsense, bipartisan legislation to bring some compassion to our animal laws," Deutch said. The Trump administration is proposing a rollback of nutrition guidelines for school meals that had been promoted by Michelle Obama as part of her campaign to combat child obesity.
