In an abrupt about-face, Hillary Clinton says she will endorse her 2016 rival Bernie Sanders if he wins the Democratic nomination to face President Donald Trump in November. The former secretary of state had earlier refused to say whether she would endorse Sanders in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter published Tuesday, instead telling the outlet: “I'm not going to go there yet.” Clinton tweeted Tuesday night: “The number one priority for our country and world is retiring Trump, and, as I always have, I will do whatever I can to support our nominee.” The two had a bitter rivalry for the 2016 nomination. 628

In a matter of days, living rooms across the country turned into classrooms amid the COVID-19 outbreak. That left some parents worried about whether their kids will still keep learning and be ready when school starts up again.Online platforms like Outschool are working to provide relief for them. "Families, now, are suddenly faced with a scenario, where they're trying to work from home, adjust their lives, but also keep their kids occupied in a way that keeps them in touch with their learning," said Amir Nathoo, co-founder and CEO of Outschool.Outschool is a marketplace of live, online classes for kids and teens."When we saw the announcements start to happen of mass school closures across the U.S, there was just this massive spike in enrollments in classes. That is still going on," said Nathoo. He says while they did prepare for an influx in students, they had no idea it would be this many. Since its 2017 launch, Outschool has enrolled 80,000 students. In just the last week alone, another 20,000 students joined the platform. The company is now looking to 1081

It is that time of year when young female entrepreneurs converge on doorsteps and storefronts across the United States to sell sweet baked goods. Wednesday marks the start of Girl Scout cookie season, and in addition to the classics, Girl Scouts will also be selling a new cookie flavor. The new cookie is caramel chocolate chip. According to Girl Scouts of America, it consists of caramel, semisweet chocolate chips and a hint of sea salt in a chewy, gluten-free cookie. It is the first new cookie unveiled by the Girl Scouts since 2015. The number of cookie offerings from the Girl Scouts is now up to 12. Cookie prices vary nationally as proceeds stay with local scout groups."Through the Girl Scout Cookie Program, cookie customers help fund life-changing Girl Scout experiences while building the next generation of female entrepreneurs," said GSUSA CEO Sylvia Acevedo. "And because all Girl Scout Cookie proceeds stay local to power year-round troop projects and activities, when you buy Girl Scout Cookies you are making an investment in girls and in your local community. Although there is not a direct online ordering option, individual scouts and their groups can offer their supply through the Girl Scouts’ digital cookie program. For more info, click 1275

Lawmakers in Russia are set to vote on the appointment of a new prime minister a day after President Vladimir Putin kicked off an unexpected reshuffle of his inner circle. Mikhail Mishustin, the chief of Russia's tax service, has already arrived at the lower house of parliament, or Duma, on Thursday and is meeting with lawmakers. The Duma is widely expected to approve his appointment. The 53-year-old Mishustin would replace Dmitry Medvedev, who was Putin's longtime ally and Russia's prime minister for the past eight years. Medvedev resigned Wednesday together with the whole Cabinet after Putin proposed sweeping changes to the constitution that could keep him in power well past the end of his term in 2024. 726

Iran's Foreign Minster Javad Zarif said that his nation does not "seek escalation or war" following an attack on a pair of Iraqi bases that house US troops early Wednesday morning. Iraqi security officials told CNN that no casualties were reported following the attacks on Al-Asad Airbase and Irbil Airbase in Iraq, where United States troops are stationed. "Iran took & concluded proportionate measures in self-defense under Article 51 of UN Charter targeting base from which cowardly armed attack against our citizens & senior officials were launched," Zarif said. "We do not seek escalation or war, but will defend ourselves against any aggression."Hours after Zarif's statement, Iranian State TV reported that Iran will tell the UN Security Council it will not seek to go to war with the U.S.More than a dozen missiles struck two airbases in Iraq that houses U.S. troops early on Wednesday morning, the Pentagon confirmed. While Zarif said that Iran does not seek to escalate tensions in the Middle East, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said through Iran State TV that the United States would face a broader and stronger response if the US responded to the Iranian missile attack.Zarif has been vocal in his criticism of the U.S., especially President Donald Trump, after the U.S. launched an attack that killed Iranian General Qasem Soleimani last week. "The US' act of international terrorism, targeting & assassinating General Soleimani—THE most effective force fighting Daesh (ISIS), Al Nusrah, Al Qaeda et al—is extremely dangerous & a foolish escalation. The US bears responsibility for all consequences of its rogue adventurism," Zarif previously said. 1703
