UPDATE 2 p.m., Apr. 18: Lifeguards removed the shark advisory signs at Silver Strand.SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Lifeguards warned beachgoers in Silver Strand after several agencies spotted a shark they say could be a great white off the coast Wednesday. According to authorities, the shark was initially spotted by Border Patrol agents in a helicopter above Imperial Beach around 10:30 a.m. The shark was also spotted by a lifeguard in a boat approximately two miles off the coast of Imperial Beach. RELATED: New shark detecting technology being testedThe shark is believed to be between seven and eight foot long. Lifeguards in Imperial Beach say they believe the shark could be a great white. The shark was again seen about half a mile off the coast of Silver Strand, prompting lifeguards to warn beachgoers. Lifeguards chose not to issue a formal public warning because the shark was of moderate size, wasn't behaving aggressively and was in an area with few people nearby, City News Service reports. United Airlines said it's suspending a program that transports pets in cargo holds.It will stop accepting new reservations for its PetSafe program, though it will honor any reservations made through March 20, the airline said.Passengers can still carry small pets with them in carry-on luggage.The suspension comes as United reviews its pet transport policies, a process that should be completed by May 1, United said.United has experienced some major pet-traveling disasters recently. Last week, a small dog died after it was put in the overhead bin on a United flight. Two dogs are safe after running onto a Phoenix freeway and disrupting traffic on Wednesday. Video from Scripps station KNXV in Phoenix showed two dogs running onto Interstate 17 near Deer Valley Road. The Arizona Department of Public Safety tried to catch the dogs, but they refused to stop. DPS stopped traffic for a brief time while troopers and Phoenix firefighters attempted to stop the dogs. Officials were able to grab one dog on I-17, but the other dog ran from DPS and away from the freeway into an RV park.Residents at the RV park were able to capture the second dog after almost an hour of running free. KNXV caught up with the dog and the owner: DOG CHASE: DPS following dogs on I-17/Deer Valley in Phoenix. Vanessa Bryant, the widow of basketball Hall of Famer Kobe Bryant, has filed a lawsuit against the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, alleging the department attempted to cover-up up the fact that deputies took photos with their personal cell phones at the scene of a helicopter crash that killed her husband and daughter.Kobe Bryant, his daughter, Gianna, and seven others were killed on Jan. 26 when their helicopter crashed in Calabasas, California, as the group was traveling to a youth basketball game. The helicopter reportedly crashed into mountains amid dense fog.In her lawsuit, Bryant alleges that eight deputies took "gratuitous images" with their cell phones after responding to the scene.Bryant's suit also alleges that one of those deputies showed images from the scene to someone outside the department. According to Yahoo, that deputy showed photos from the scene to a person at a bar and bragged "about how he had been at the crash site." A bartender who overheard the conversation later notified the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department about the conversation.Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva has already admitted that eight deputies took photos of the crash with their cell phones. According to an investigation from The Los Angeles Times, Villanueva allegedly told eight deputies who took photos from the scene that they would not face discipline if they deleted the crash photos from their phone — a move that some legal experts say amounts to the destruction of evidence.After The Times released its report, Villanueva asked the California Office of Inspector General to investigate the situation.However, Bryant's lawsuit alleges that Villanueva did not inform the crash victims' families that improper photographs had been taken. The suit also claims that Villanueva did not initiate an investigation or "inspect the deputies phones to determine whether and how the photos had been shared."According to The Times, Bryant is seeking damages for "negligence, intentional infliction of emotional distress and invasion of her right to privacy."Bryant and the families of other victims in the helicopter crash have also filed a lawsuit against the pilot and his employer, Island Express Helicopters. Two men are in jail after police say they stole a car -– with an infant inside.About 7:30 p.m. Monday, officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the parking lot of a business in Boise, Idaho.“Evidence indicates that a car had been left running outside of a store, when it was stolen by two men,” according to a Boise Police Department news release. A 6-month-old infant was in the car when it was stolen. A parent pursued the car, until the driver stopped several blocks away.“One of the men exited with the child, who was still strapped into the infant car seat.  (The parent) safely took the child from the man. Thankfully, the child was unharmed,” the release stated.The suspect, later identified as Raymundo Gutierrez, 23, of Boise, was detained at the scene until officers arrived.  The other male fled in the stolen vehicle, officers said.Gutierrez was booked into the Ada County Jail and charged with accessory to grand theft, a felony.About 1:00 a.m. Tuesday, Boise Police received information that the stolen vehicle had been recovered in Canyon County -- and the driver, later identified as Robert DeShazo, was booked into the Canyon County Jail. He’s charged with felony possession of stolen property and driving under the influence, a misdemeanor.  Authorities said both suspects could face additional charges.          1396
