(KGTV) - A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will launch from Florida Wednesday afternoon with a planet-searching satellite on board for NASA.The Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) is part of a mission to find exoplanets that periodically block part of the light from their host stars, events called transits, NASA said.TESS will survey the nearest and brightest stars for two years to search for transiting exoplanets, according to scientists. NASA’s satellite will look for stars 30 to 100 times brighter than those observed by the Kepler satellite launched in 2009.TESS also will scan a larger area than Kepler, NASA officials said. It will spend about a month at a time focusing on one portion of sky, eventually covering the entire sky. (KGTV) — A rapidly-spreading wildfire tore through thousands of acres in Northern California Thursday, as strong winds and low humidity brought a red flag warning to the region.The Camp Fire sparked at about 6:30 a.m. in the Pulga area, near Paradise, Calif., in Butte County. Within a few hours, the blaze had charred at least 5,000 acres.By 7 p.m. Thursday, the fire had reached 20,000 acres. Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom, who is currently acting governor with Gov. (KGTV) - Two NFL billionaires are reportedly at odds over -- what else -- money.According to a report, Los Angeles Rams owner Stan Kroenke is upset about a lack of financial contribution by the Los Angeles Chargers for their shared Inglewood stadium, which is set to open next summer. Longtime Los Angeles sportscaster Fred Roggin said Kroenke was anticipating the Chargers would generate close to 0 million from the sale of Personal Seat Licenses (PSLs). Instead, the real figure is turning out to be tens or even hundreds of millions short of the target, and Kroenke is the one responsible for making up the difference.Costs for the Inglewood stadium, which will be called SoFi Stadium after a sponsorship deal was announced earlier this month, are skyrocketing to almost billion. The facility was initially expected to cost .9 billion. Kroenke is responsible for everything but the money the Chargers generate in PSL sales and a 0 million NFL G-6 loan. The Chargers, though, get to keep all of their gameday revenues when they play in the new building. Roggin calls it a sweetheart deal for Chargers owner Dean Spanos. Denver ranked 37th on the list followed by San Francisco at 48th, Seattle-Tacoma at 57th and Los Angeles 71st. Denver, the highest rated airport in the U.S., was ranked 37th Unfortunately for America’s Finest City, the San Diego International Airport didn’t make the list. All three of the world’s top airports are located in Asia. The Singapore Changi airport took home the list’s top spot for the seventh year in a row followed by Tokyo Haneda and Seoul Incheon. The Singapore Changi Airport connects to more than 200 destinations around the world. In 2017, the airport served 60 million passengers from nearly 100 countries. According to its website, the World Airport awards began in 1999 when Skytrax launched its first global airport satisfaction survey. The goal of the survey is for customers to "make their own, personal choices as to which airport they consider to be the best."
