Strong winds and heavy rain have battered parts of Italy, causing nine deaths and the worst flooding seen in Venice for at least a decade.Schools have been closed around the country and the authorities have warned against non-essential travel as the Civil Protection Agency issued multiple weather warnings.Two young people died south of Rome when a tree hit their car, while another person was killed in the nearby town of Terracina as winds brought down scores of pine trees. Obviously for me, I don’t need that but if not you can also crop a pillow behind here,” Mitchell said, as she points to space between her back and the chair.Also, get a footstool to rest their feet on if they can’t touch the ground.Ankles, knees, and arms should be at a 90-degree angle, and don’t forget the computer.“You wanna make sure that your screen is right at eye level,” Dr. Mitchell said.Another headache trigger is the damaging blue light that comes from your laptop or computer screen. You can get glasses that block that.“It messes with your natural melatonin production which is what regulates your sleeping cycle,” she said.But most important, Dr. Mitchell says kids need to get up and move every 30 minutes to an hour.“We’re kind of designed to move. Technology is constantly evolving, and often times, it makes things more convenient.Charley Sullivan uses smart technology a lot, specifically her Amazon Echo.The Echo’s virtual assistant, Alexa, will read Charley’s emails aloud to her, check the weather and more.She thought it’d be a great gift for her husband, Bobby, but he knew she’d enjoy it more.“I knew how much she was going to use that thing,” he says. “I mean, she uses it to read her bible listened to radio programs; she plays games on it.” Amazon’s Alexa has brought convenience to homes everywhere, by playing music, checking the news, ordering groceries and more. But it’s especially helpful when you can't see.Both Charley and Bobby are blind.“Well, it's so wonderful,” Charley says of the device. “And when I was a child, we had braille, and we had books on records.”Now, the two are using Alexa, along cell phones and an Apple watch to make life easier.While they wish the technology could do even more, the two are grateful.“If you are going to be blind, this is the time, the day and time to be blind, with all the technology that there is out there today,” Charley says. 1155

Target announced on Thursday that it is targeting diversity.In a press release, the retailer says they plan to increase its Black workforce by 20% in the next three years by "sharpening its focus on advancement, retention, and hiring."“The changes we’re making are going to have a meaningful impact on the careers of our Black team members and prospective team members,” said Kiera Fernandez, Vice President, Human Resources and Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer in the press release. “A diverse and inclusive team at Target is one where there’s equity in how we promote, retain, and hire team members. Additional leadership development, training programs, and mentorship for our Black team members, along with a focus in areas of the business where our Black representation is not as strong, will offer new career development opportunities for our team for years to come.
