(KGTV) - A woman who was struck by a vehicle in Chula Vista Thursday night died of her injuries in the hospital, according to Chula Vista Police.Dispatchers received several 911 calls about the crash at Fourth Ave and C Street at 9:15 p.m. The location is near a CVS pharmacy and Jack in the Box.Officers said they found the 57-year-old victim in the intersection with serious injuries. CHULA VISTA (KGTV) - A former San Diego psychiatrist who reportedly had offices in Chula Vista, San Ysidro, Kearny Mesa and El Cajon pleaded guilty Monday to a felony charge of having sexual contact with seven female patients during office visits and a misdemeanor count of sexual battery for groping an eighth woman.Leon Fajerman, 75, will be ordered to serve 365 days in custody and be required to register as a sex offender at a sentencing hearing Jan. 18.Judge Francis Devaney will consider alternatives to actual jail time, according to Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Matzger, City News Service reported.REPORT: San Diego County psychiatrist charged with sexual battery, having sex with patientFajerman -- who has been a licensed physician in California since 1978 -- voluntarily surrendered his medical license in May, state records show.In September 2017, court records showed that Fajerman assaulted three female patients, including one who said he groped her breasts and buttocks, according to the Union-Tribune.The complaints were turned in to the Medical Board of California. (KGTV) - California Highway Patrol officers opened fire, fatally shooting a suspect after a chase that began in Orange County ended in Chula Vista, the agency said.The chase started just before midnight when, for an unknown reason, Santa Ana Police attempted a traffic stop.The pursuit continued through San Diego County until coming to an end near I-805 south and East Orange Avenue around 1:30 a.m.At some point, CHP says officers opened fire on the suspect, who was later pronounced dead at the hospital. CHP did not say whether the driver was armed or whether there was anyone else in the vehicle.No CHP officers were hit, the agency confirmed. CHULA VISTA (KGTV) – A Chula Vista man says he could have been seriously hurt by a razor blade attached to the handlebar of a shopping cart.Jason Rodriguez says he was with his wife and young daughter, shopping at the Walmart on Eastlake Parkway Wednesday morning.“Normally we put her in the shopping cart, but I’m glad we didn’t this time,” Rodriguez said.Rodriguez discovered the blade when he went to wipe down the cart handle.  It was attached by magnets to the bottom of the handlebar.“I could have been cut. I could have caught a disease of some sort,” Rodriguez said. “There are crazy people out there who do dumb things for who knows what reason.”Rodriguez says he alerted store management to the incident.
