This natural weather phenomenon is the warming of equatorial Pacific that triggers weather extremes across the globe.Since the 1970s, scientists have found El Ninos are forming farther to the west in warmer waters.Researchers led by the University of Hawaii say this leads to some stronger El Ninos.This is important because El Nino —especially strong ones — can trigger drought in some places, like Australia and India. VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) -- The man accused of killing his mother in her Oceanside home pleaded not guilty. He was not granted bail. Quiet and still. Anthony Sardina stood in front of Honorable James Simmons Jr., denying any involvement in his mother's murder. "Not guilty plea is entered on Mr. Sardina's behalf," Judge Simmons said.  The 37-year old is accused of killing his mother, 64-year-old Regina Sardina. The heinous crime was discovered by Anthony's younger brother, who found Regina's body in their Oceanside home Sunday afternoon. The deputy district attorney told reporters for the first time that Sardina used a knife to kill his mother."Anthony Sardina was arraigned on a complaint alleging one count of murder as well as what is known as a 'felony strike prior allegation,' and attached to the murder charges is the allegation that he personally used a knife in the commission of the offense," said deputy district attorney Robert Bruce.After the attack, investigators said Sardina took his mother's car to a nearby Hobby Lobby and caught a cab. Police arrested him shortly after tracking him through the cab company. "Oceanside did a terrific job investigating this offense, bringing it to the DA's office, we charged it quickly, and the case continues to be investigated," Bruce said. 10News found Anthony Sardina has a lengthy criminal felony record, with arrests dating back to 2009, and as recently as July 31st of this year. This ultimately led to him getting no bail. "The judge said no bail on the case, both on the murder charge, because of the nature of the charge, and the fact that he is on probation from a prior offense, which carries no bail," Bruce said. If found guilty, Sardina faces 51 years to life in prison.   1791

VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) — Vista Unified School District is calling on the community to donate their new and used instruments. As they add new music programs, the goal is to get an instrument in the hand of every student. Weirather said.North Coast Church heard about the instrument drive and asked their worshipers to help, and they delivered.“They filled an entire room. It plans to welcome its first guests in 2022."Our goal is to make space accessible to all," Frank Bunger, CEO and founder of Orion Span, said in a statement. "Upon launch, Aurora Station goes into service immediately, bringing travelers into space quickly and at a lower price point than ever seen before."Astronaut experienceWhile a million trip is outside the budget of most people's two-week vacations, Orion Span claims to offer an authentic astronaut experience.Says Bunger, it has "taken what was historically a 24-month training regimen to prepare travelers to visit a space station and streamlined it to three months, at a fraction of the cost."During their 12-day adventure, the super-rich travelers will fly at a height of 200 miles above the Earth's surface in Low Earth Orbit, or LEP, where they will witness incredible views of the blue planet.The hotel will orbit Earth every 90 minutes, which means guests will see around 16 sunrises and sunsets every 24 hours.Hometown heroActivities on board include taking part in research experiments such as growing food while in orbit -- which guests can take home for a super-smug souvenir -- and soaring over their hometown.Guests can have live video chats with their less-fortunate loved ones back home via high-speed wireless Internet access and, upon return to Earth, will be greeted with a specially arranged hero's welcome.While enjoying the thrills of zero gravity, the travelers will be able to float freely through the hotel, taking in views of the northern and southern aurora from the station's windows.Deposits are already being accepted for future stays on the space hotel. The Walla Walla Public Library can relate, and they have a real life mystery on their hands after moving the mystery books section.According to a post on social media, the Washington town’s library was moving their mystery collection as part of a larger library layout change, when a facilities crew member discovered a secret panel.“Along with the usual dust and dead bugs, he found five unopened cans of ‘the beer refreshing’ and some monstrously stale gum still in its vibrant packaging, along with a moldering paper bag,” the post reads.The library is assuming someone stashed their loot behind the shelving and wasn’t able to retrieve it.Some good old-fashioned sleuthing leads the library to believe the snacks have been sitting in the secret panel for about 30 years.“Godzilla Heads gum dates to the late 1980s, and the rule that requires warnings to be printed on alcohol containers was enacted in November 1988.
