(KGTV) - Border Patrol agents arrested a previously deported gang member and came under gunfire in two separate incidents this week.Agents at Calexico Station's processing center said a 25-year-old Mexican citizen who had been arrested in downtown Calexico is a member of the "Sure?os" criminal organization, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) said.RELATED: CA Attorney General Xavier Becerra announces border wall lawsuit in San DiegoAfter being interviewed, the man admitted to being a member of the gang, CBP said. CARLSBAD, Calif. (KGTV) — A motorcyclist was killed on Friday after he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a building in Carlsbad.Carlsbad Police say the motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Faraday Ave. just after 3 p.m., when for unknown reasons he lost control and collided into a building.Officers arrived to find the motorcyclist unconscious. The rider, identified as a 29-year-old male from Encinitas, died at the scene.Police don't believe any other vehicles were involved and said it doesn't appear alcohol was a factor. It's unclear how fast the rider was traveling at the time of the crash.The area of Faraday Ave. and Orion Way was partially closed for the investigation but has since reopened. 728

Champion is phasing out an exclusive line at Target and Wall Street isn't pleased.Hanesbrands, the parent of Hanes, Champion, Maidenform and Playtex, plunged 19% on Wednesday after it told investors that it would end a longtime deal with Target.The company reported that its profit last quarter fell 18% from the same time last year because costs and expenses both grew, adding to the stock selloff.Hanesbrands has partnered with Target, selling the C9 by Champion men's, women's and children's activewear clothing and shoe brand for 15 years. But the company won't renew its contract for the line with Target when it expires in early 2020.Once the deal lapses, Hanesbrands will still sell clothes there. The retailer accounted for 13% of the company's .4 billion in sales last year and was the biggest customer in its activewear business. Target was Hanesbrands' second largest buyer overall behind Walmart.C9 has been a big cash driver for Hanesbrands, raking in 0 million in sales over the last 12 months. The line also includes sports equipment and extends to plus-size shoppers and pregnant women.Champion is the company's second-largest brand behind Hanes, and it has been growing as it heads to retailers in new markets, including Europe and Asia. Champion has benefited from partnerships with designers and brands like Supreme."Consumers are demanding brands with athletic authenticity," CEO Gerald Evans told analysts on a call Wednesday. "We have driven a brand elevation strategy for Champion to capitalize on these consumer dynamics."The brand's global sales grew 18% last quarter, and Hanesbrands projects Champion will reach more than billion in sales by 2022.Although the company said ending the C9 contract with Target won't affect its long-term forecast for Champion, analysts grilled Hanesbrands executives for answers on why the deal expired and how it planned to replace C9 sales.Evans said Hanesbrands hasn't determined whether it will end the line after 2020, but he left the door open to continuing C9 at another retailer: "There is equity in that brand."One analyst on the call, Doug Thomas at Gamco Investors, believed Target made a mistake by walking away from C9."I just feel like Target must be really out of touch with maybe their core consumers," he said. Caesars Entertainment Corporation announced plans Wednesday to bring a non-gaming Caesars Palace resort to beach-front property along the coast of Puerto Los Cabos, Mexico. The 0 million luxury beachfront hotel will be developed by Grupo Questro. Caesars Entertainment will manage the property and receive a licensing and management fee. It is set to break ground in early 2019. The non-gaming luxury beachfront hotel will feature 500 rooms and suites, a 40,000-square foot convention center, a 25,000-square foot full-service spa, three fine dining restaurants, an array of amenities including an entertainment venue, pools, cabanas, fitness center, tennis courts and access to the two signature golf courses. The beach-front property will be situated in the Puerto Los Cabos Tourist Corridor and the San Jose del Cabo resort city on the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula.The announcement of the Puerto Los Cabos project follows last week’s announcement that Caesars Entertainment will manage two luxury hotels and a beach club at Meraas’ Dubai-based Bluewaters Island development. In late 2018, Bluewaters Island is expected to become home to Caesars Palace Bluewaters Dubai and Caesars Bluewaters Dubai -- both of which will represent Caesars Entertainment’s first non-gaming resorts. In addition to the projects in Puerto Los Cabos and Dubai, Caesars Entertainment has announced plans to build a meeting and conference center in Las Vegas and has broken ground on a new Harrah’s-branded casino in Northern California. 1559
