You see the spellers on the stage at Scripps National Spelling Bee, but there’s a critical player in the competition who you hear more than see.Dr. Jacques Bailly is the Bee’s official pronouncer, and to the spellers, he’s a celebrity. With just five Democratic Party hopefuls for president left, two candidates emerged as clear frontrunners on a crucial night dubbed as “Super Tuesday.” Joe Biden, ex-President Barack Obama’s two-term vice president, asserted himself as a real contender to take the Democratic nomination. If you don’t have wrapping paper or if it’s too expensive, Witulski says there’s nothing wrong with using tissue paper. “Tissue paper comes in really nice packaging these days,” said Witulski. “You can get multiple designs in one package for just a few dollars. And it's usually between 20 to 30 sheets per package and that's plenty for you to do a lot of giftwrapping."However, you’ll need to remember to use two to three sheets, so you don’t see the gift and the tissue doesn't rip. Soft items like clothes can be hard to wrap, especially if you don’t have a box. Witulski suggests using two sheets of tissue. Roll the item, place it on the tissue and then start to roll up the clothes into the tissue, making it look like a piece of candy. While some fight the constitutionality of the forced closures, others say they do not mind waiting for updated state and federal reopening guidelines. It's another Sunday service to an empty hall at Rock Church in Point Loma, but Senior Pastor Miles McPherson says he still reaches a broad audience online. "Ministry is happening," McPherson said. "We are having church every day. SAN MARCOS, Calif. (KGTV) -- A North County family has a message for a prankster who lit a firework on their doorstep. The Bennetts family's security video caught what appeared to be a teenager lighting a firework and setting it down on the porch of their San Marcos home last Friday night. The teen is then seen ringing the doorbell before running off. “I don’t know exactly what kind of firework it was. But it made a pretty big boom,” homeowner Melanie Bennetts said. She said there was a bench with pillows on their porch that could have caught on fire. Her husband was home at the time but didn’t answer the door. The Bennetts’ have two teenagers, but they did not recognize the young man in the security video. Bennetts said kids have egged and toilet-papered their house in the past. She doesn’t make a big deal about it because she understands kids will be kids. But in this case, she hopes kids and parents take note of the incident, and that it becomes a lesson that some actions could have serious consequences. “We live in Southern California where fire is not a joke,” she said. 1104
