(KGTV) - People who felt Saturday’s 7.1 earthquake in Ridgecrest posted images of the tremor on social media. The quake, which struck just after 8 p.m., was felt as far away as Mexico and Nevada. Video and images on social media showed water splashing out of pools and lights swaying. (KGTV) — Newly released video shows the moment a Portland high school coach disarmed a student who brought a loaded shotgun to school in May.Keanon Lowe, Parkrose High School's head football and track coach, was in a classroom full of students when the gunman, identified as Angel Granados Dias, came in with shotgun on May 17, 2019, according to Portland police.In the video, Lowe brings Dias into a school hallway after appearing to disarm the student. Lowe is seen holding the shotgun before handing it off to another staff member. The coach continues to hold the student and embrace him in a hug, as the staff member leaves with the firearm and students flee from the classroom.Lowe, a former Oregon Ducks football player and NFL coach, says he lunged for the gun with both hands inside the classroom when he realized what was happening.The coach said he told Dias he was there for him and that his life was worth saving. Investigators say Dias was suffering a mental health crisis and only intended to hurt himself, Portland ABC-affiliate KATU reported."Then it was just me and that student. It was a real emotional time. It was emotional for him, it was emotional for me," Lowe told KATU in May. "In that time, I felt compassion for him. A lot of times, especially when you’re young, you don’t realize what you’re doing until it’s over."Dias has since been sentenced to three years probation and to undergo mental health treatment. (KGTV) -- The brother of San Diego hiker Paul Hanks is talking about his ordeal in Joshua Tree National Park. The best news they have to share with the public - Hanks is expected to make a full recovery. "Sunday was his birthday, he turned 54," said Dr. Steven Hanks, his brother. "He likes to take a hike on his birthday so he had gone out to Joshua Tree National Park after spending the morning with (our) mother."RELATED: Missing San Diego hiker found injured in Joshua TreeThe 54-year-old left San Diego on Sunday, March 11. His brother said he was reported missing on Tuesday, March 13 after he failed to show up to a meeting with his ex-wife in Las Vegas. Hanks' truck was found near the Maze Loop and Hanks was found by a member of the Joshua Tree Search and Rescue crew on Thursday, March 15. According to his son-in-law, Hanks broke his ankle and fractured his skull after falling 20 feet. He was missing for four days and buried himself in the sand to stay warm, drinking rainwater to stay hydrated until he was found."He had a very harrowing experience. It's a compelling story of survival and we were just stunned when they found him," Hanks' brother said. "I think he's just incredibly thankful to be alive." When asked if he thought the experience hiker would ever return to Joshua Tree National Park, his brother said:"I think he'll absolutely go back. I do know if he goes back, he won't be going back without a satellite phone...a flare gun," he said, smiling. "He really thought he was going on a minimal risk venture. (KGTV) — Thousands of acres have burned and evacuations have been ordered for surrounding cabins as the Holy Fire rages in Orange County.The fire broke out near Holy Jim Canyon and Trabuco Creek roads Monday at about 1:30 p.m. Since then, it has exploded in size, reach thousands of acres by the next day.Multiple fire agencies responded to battle the fire and contain it to the forest land, away from communities around Cleveland National Forest.RELATED:  479
