BEIJING, March 1 (Xinhua) -- China and Singapore will jointly promote bilateral relations, and ties between China and ASEAN, according to Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi and Singaporean Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishman who met in Beijing on Tuesday.
Commenting on the leaders' meeting of China, Japan and the Republic of Korea (ROK) in the ROK last year, Premier Li said the event did not come easily as it should have been held annually, however, it was only resumed last year after a three-year hiatus.
"China always holds that the way to long-lasting peace and stability on the peninsula can be found only through dialogues and consultations," Hua said, urging all sides concerned to resume contact and dialogue as soon as possible.
The remarks were made during an interactive dialogue with the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights on his annual report, part of the 31st HRC session which ends on March 24.
More should be done to make the most out of domestic demand potentials, the statement said.
