EL CAJON, Calif. (KGTV) -- The family and friends of the 31-year-old man accused of gunning down his wife and their kids in Paradise Hills over the weekend spoke Monday about the tragedy. Police say Jose Valdivia killed his wife, Sabrina Rosario, and their three children, 3-year-old Enzi, 5-year-old Zuriel, and 11-year-old Zeth. Valdivia also shot his 9-year-old son who survived but is in the hospital on life support. Family and friends say they do not agree with what Valdivia did, adding that they are also grieving the loss of their loved one, his wife, and their children. "We do not agree with what he did but as family and friends, we love him," said close friend Gavino Pinal.His friends called him a loving father and a hard-worker. (KGTV) — A woman and her 16-year-old daughter were rescued from a remote part of Otay Mountain Friday.U.S. Border Patrol said the woman and teenager were found after being lost without food and water in a mountainous area of southeast Otay Lakes Reservoir at about 12 p.m. Border Search Trauma and Rescue and San Diego Sheriff's Department responded to the rescue effort. EL CAJON, Calif. (KGTV) -- Three lanes of Interstate 8 closed Friday night after at least one person was killed in a fiery crash near State Route 67. Around 5:30 p.m. a man driving in the fast lane of I-8 lost control and swerved into the center divider before reaching the slow lane and hitting 1997 Wabash 53-foot trailer being towed by a 2013 Kenworth T660, according to California Highway Patrol. Witnesses reported that the Ford was cut off by an unidentified vehicle which merged from the eastbound #2 lane into the #1 (fast lane) lane directly into the Ford’s path of travel. The driver of the Ford made a turning movement to the left and impacted the concrete center divide wall. As a result, the Ford veered back across the eastbound traffic lanes and broadsided the trailer.As the crash happened, the Ford became lodged under the trailer and was dragged for several hundred feet. (KGTV) — El Cajon Police are warning residents of a recent string of street robberies that have occurred over the past several weeks.Police said the victims have been described as elderly men and have been physically assaulted from behind by a lone suspect. None of the victims report seeing a weapon, but have been robbed while walking on public sidewalks in the areas of the 1000 block of East Main Street and the 800 block of Buena Terrace.The suspect in each case varies, but has been described as either an African American, Hispanic, or Middle Eastern male within the ages of 20 to 40 years old.
