(KGTV) - While Amazon customers have it fairly easy when it comes to returning items, the tech giant is only willing to go so far.Some Amazon customers have received emails notifying them they have been banned and cannot create a new account due to the number of returns they have made, according to the Wall Street Journal.Former Amazon managers told the WSJ they close accounts over activities including "requesting too many refunds" or "sending back the wrong items or violating other rules."RELATED: Ways to combat price hike for Amazon Prime"We have closed this account because you have consistently returned a large number of your orders. While we expect the occasional problem with an order, we cannot continue to accept returns at this rate," a 2015 email to an Amazon customer read.Others told the paper that Amazon asked them about their returns, despite providing a reason previously on the website. Some said they were not notified of the reasoning behind their canceled account until they reached out to a customer service representative.Amazon has yet to issue a statement regarding how it handles frequent returns. 1142

A 15-year-old boy from Virginia earned a free cruise thanks to his Snapchat account handle.Darian Lipscomb of Prospect, Virginia, received a request from Carnival Cruise Lines to trade his Snapchat username (@CarnivalCruise) for a free trip, according to The Richmond Times-Dispatch.The company showed up at his home to convince him.“I answered the door, walked outside and saw my name on a big truck. I was really surprised,” he said.Lipscomb said he chose the username in 2012 (he was 9 years old at the time) to share snaps from his cruise experiences.“When I was 9 years old, I went on a cruise and got really excited and wanted to share it with my friends,” he said.Carnival sought out the name because it’s their brand name. The cruise line began an entire campaign to woo Lipscomb. They sent signs to Lipscomb's hometown to draw the teen's attention, including one on which Carnival Cruise’s new “chief fun officer” Shaquille O’Neal asked if anyone knew about Lipscomb, Fox News reported.The company showed up at Lipscomb’s home on Tuesday night and offered his family a free trip on their newest ship if he traded them his Snapchat name.He accepted the deal. A 4-year-old girl was left alone inside a minivan overnight in a Milwaukee tow lot, Public Works Commissioner nominee Jeff Polenske said Tuesday at a news conference. Late Monday night, an impaired female driver was pulled over and arrested for an OWI when the vehicle was towed. Officers removed a 10-month-old child from the vehicle, but neglected to remove a 4-year-old girl from the backseat.Polenske said it wasn't until a tow lot employee heard the young girl crying that the girl was removed. Officials towed the car to the lot on around 12:30 a.m. The child was not discovered until around 8:30 a.m. Upon discovery, the child was checked by fire officials for immediate harm and later transported to the hospital for further review. Data from local meteorologists shows temperatures dipped as low as 19 degrees Monday night while the child was in the car.Milwaukee Public Works is reviewing more on the situation.   976

According to AAA, most travelers book flights for Thanksgiving between September 25 and October 27 and between October 26 and November 27 for Christmas “Holiday travelers should make their plans now and begin booking their flights for Thanksgiving and Christmas as early as Wednesday, Sept. 25 for the best deals and availability,” said Paula Twidale, vice president, AAA Travel. Thanksgiving TravelAAA says this year, travelers can find some of the best pricing sever to 13 days before Thanksgiving, between November 11 and 17. The site says, however, that limited availability makes seats hard to come by at the discounted rates. Flying Monday of Thanksgiving week is the best option with the lowest average ticket price, according to AAA. Christmas TravelFor Christmas, AAA found that booking flights between 61 to 90 days before the holiday, or between September 26 and October 27, is best. Last-minute Christmas travelers can find the best pricing between seven to 13 days before the holiday, according to AAA. However, much like Thanksgiving, availability is likely to be limited. “Procrastinating travelers may be able to find last-minute deals on flights close to the holidays, as airlines look to fill their last few remaining seats, but flight availability for these peak travel weeks will be very limited by that time," Twidale continued. 1492
