Carnival Cruise Lines announced Wednesday that it had canceled most cruises that were scheduled to embark from U.S. through the end of January 2021.In addition, the company announced that all cruises embarking from Baltimore; Charleston, South Carolina; Long Beach, California; Mobile, Alabama; New Orleans and San Diego has been canceled through the end of February and that all cruises on the Carnival Legend that embark from Tampa, Florida had been canceled through March 28.In a tweet, Carnival said that when it restarts operations in 2021, it will focus on cruises embarking from Miami and Port Canaveral, Florida. A vacation home to Leo Carrillo from the TV show "The Cisco Kid." Once a massive ranch, now transformed into an 1800 acre city park in Carlsbad. Mick Calarco, Project Manager with the City of Carlsad calls the park a "manifestation of Carrillo's childhood dreams." Million- dollar homes now surround the park, but it was once a sprawling and working ranch with livestock and wild animals. Peacocks still roam the property, original descendants of the birds Carrillo bought for the ranch."You can truly lose yourself out here," said Calarco. The old adobe buildings have been beautifully restored to their original splendor. Carrillo bought the property in 1937. His famous friends, including Clark Gable would often visit the ranch. In every building you can see Carrillo's vision for preserving early ranch architecture. Adobe was a central theme in Leo's remembrance of of his childhood ranches. After Carrillo's daughter, Tony, left the estate, the buildings began to fall apart. The City of Carlsbad acquired the remaining 10.5-acre ranch in 1977. It now serves as a park to educate and advocate for ranch preservation and restoration. The park is open daily 9 A.M.- 5 p.m. 1359

CARMEL VALLEY (KGTV) - A man threatened to shoot a clerk at the Everbowl in Carmel Valley and ran away with cash on Saturday night, San Diego Police said.According to police, an armed man entered the restaurant shortly before 6 p.m. and demanded cash. The clerk gave him an unknown amount of money, and the suspect ran away.The suspect was last seen running through the parking lot. He is described as a white man, 30 to 40 years old, about 5' 11" tall with a medium build. He was unshaven and wearing a blue hooded jacket, dark beanie and jeans.Anyone with information is asked to call San Diego Police. 617

CHANDLER, AZ — The Arizona Attorney General’s Office says Mikal Lee Smith, the son of ex-NFL coach and current head of the University of Illinois football program Lovie Smith, has been indicted after a Chandler police investigation accusing him of running a prostitution ring.According to a release, between December 2018 and September 2019, Mikal Smith and Aprel Mae Rasmussen operated and maintained an illegal prostitution enterprise.In one instance, Mikal Smith and Rasmussen allegedly induced and encouraged an adult female victim to “engage in acts of prostitution for over two months.”Mikal Smith reportedly used surveillance and threats of retaliation to keep the victim under his control.It’s unclear how many other victims, if any, were involved.
