WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court has ordered lower federal courts in Colorado and New Jersey to reexamine state restrictions on indoor religious services to combat the coronavirus in light of the justices' recent ruling in favor of churches and synagogues in New York.According to NBC News, the judges ruled 6-3 in the case brought by High Plains Harvest Church in Colorado to send back to the lower courts, where the church previously lost.According to the Associated Press, Colorado said it took action and amended a public health order "to remove capacity limits from all houses of worship at all times in response to this Court's recent decisions."In a brief dissent, Justice Elena Kagan wrote that should have settled the issue because "there is no reason to think Colorado will reverse course—and so no reason to think Harvest Church will again face capacity limits."In the New Jersey case, the Supreme Court issued a ruling limiting the state's application of COVID-19 restrictions that apply to religious settings, granting an injunction sought by a Catholic priest at a church in North Caldwell rabbi at a synagogue in Lakewood, NBC News reported.The high court's unsigned decisions Tuesday threw out federal district court rulings that rejected challenges to limits imposed in both states.Last month, the Supreme Court ruled that New York could not enforce certain limits on attendance at churches and synagogues.No justice noted a dissent from the New Jersey decision, the AP reported. 1507

So, you know you've got businesses with high overhead, maybe few on payroll,” said Karen Kerrigan, President and CEO of the SBE Council. “This program really didn't align with their needs.”Business owners and advocacy groups complain that the money in the PPP was not fully put to work because it created obstacles that stopped countless small businesses from applying.A report from a research group says the program’s shortcomings also made it more difficult for minority businesses to get loans.The owners of a Colorado brewery who got a PPP loan say it helped, but only goes so far."It didn't solve the problems. What it did was sustain us for a few more months."The SBE Council is working with lawmakers on both sides of the aisle for further policy solutions. WASHINGTON, D.C. — A home test for COVID-19 will soon be on U.S. store shelves.The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Tuesday issued an emergency use authorization for the first kit that consumers can buy without a prescription to test themselves entirely at home.Regulators granted use for a similar home test last month, but it requires a doctor’s prescription.The new test kit from Australian company Ellume allows users to swab themselves and get the results at home in about 20 minutes.The test detects fragments of proteins of the coronavirus from a nasal swab sample from anyone 2 years old and up. It connect to a digital app to help users interpret the results.Similar to other antigen tests, the FDA says a small percentage of positive and negative results from this test may be false. Therefore, for patients without symptoms, positive results should be treated as presumptively positive until confirmed by another test as soon as possible.Individuals with positive results should self-isolate and seek additional care from their health care provider.
