(KGTV) ¡ª Nearly 500 people have been banned from Delta flights after refusing to wear facial coverings in accordance with the company's coronavirus policy.The airlines said in an internal memo obtained by ABC News that at least 460 people have been added to a "no-fly list" for not wearing a mask. Airlines companies agreed in June to ban passengers who refused to wear face coverings, CNN reported. Delta's mask requirement went into effect for passengers on May 4."Wearing a mask is among the simplest and most effective actions we can take to reduce transmission, which is why Delta has long required them for our customers and our people. As of this week, we¡¯ve added 460 people to our no-fly list for refusing to comply with our mask requirement," according to an internal memo to employees from CEO Ed Bastian, ABC News reported.In August, Delta said it had banned about 270 passengers since the pandemic began.Earlier this month, the Department of Defense released the results of a 6-month study that claimed the risk of contracting COVID-19 on a flight were virtually 0% if all passengers wore masks. (KGTV) ¡ª U.S. citizens traveling to Europe will have to be mindful of new visa rules after 2021.Starting on Jan. 21, 2021, Americans will need a ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) visa when traveling to a European Schengen-zone country, which includes Germany, France, Spain, Sweden, and Italy. Though, travelers heading to Ireland or the United Kingdom will not need the new visa.The visa will cost a one-time fee of about €7, or about to , according to a release from the European Union. The move is meant to improve security, "to avoid any further problems with illegal migration and terrorism," the ETIAS visa website says.Currently, U.S. citizens traveling to Europe for 90 days or less do not need a visa. Eventually, the new visa will be required for short-stay travel as well.To apply for a visa, Americans will need a valid passport, an email account, and a credit or debit card. Passports must be valid for three months beyond the period of an individual's intended stay.Americans will be required to have a ETIAS visa valid for three years when entering European Schengen-zone countries. (KGTV) -A nonprofit group is stepping up to find a solution following complaints of people living out of their cars across neighborhoods in San Diego. In February, the City of San Diego unanimously voted to repeal a 1983 city ordinance preventing people from living out of their vehicles. The change cleared the way for vehicle dwellers to live on any street within San Diego. A newly-formed resident coalition is documenting what it says are the problems the ordinance created. The information is being sent to San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer¡¯s office. ¡°We have literally witnessed buckets of waste being thrown out of some of these vehicles. I¡¯ve witnessed drug dealing out of some of the motor homes, we¡¯ve seen bike chop shops operating,¡± Pacific Beach resident Racheal Allen said. A nonprofit group, Jewish Family Services, is now working on a proposal that could potentially turn a privately-owned church parking lot in San Marcos into a designated space for these campers. Jewish Family Services officials said the group is in the exploration phase of the proposal and is reviewing different sites as options. Not when it comes to gear, but when it comes to safety.Don't go aloneDon't surf alone. If you're new to the sport, you definitely don't want to surf alone. Attending a surf school or lesson can help with that. If you've been surfing, it's still always better to surf with a buddy.Warm upStretching out helps prevent injuries. If you're new to surfing, you'll definitely be using some muscles you haven't used before so limber up!Space outBetween your foot and your board's leash, there's plenty of room for your board to get in someone's way and vice-versa. Make sure you have enough room between yourself once you go for a wave. That last thing you want before wiping out is to send your board into someone or catch someone else's board yourself.Don't ruin a waveBefore you paddle out, check the situation. There may be someone hurdling toward you and about to catch a wave. Point being, get your bearings on where others are currently. Paddle out between breaks and you'll be less likely to run into someone.Don't drop inIf you're not paying attention, you may end up on the same wave as another surfer. This can lead to two things, a collision or having to bail out of the wave. Either way, it's bad news. Apologize if you accidentally end up in the situation, but be aware of your surroundings.Spotting a ripRip currents can be a real danger whether you're swimming or surfing. Know how to spot a rip current and where you're allowed to surf, and make sure you're within view of a lifeguard. If you're caught in a rip current, experts say it's important to stay calm. Float, wave your arms and yell to get the attention of a lifeguard or people on shore. 1895
