Amateur Ali Gibb enjoyed a trip to the golf course that Tiger Woods could only dream off earlier this week, hitting three hole-in-ones on the same day.The 51-year-old managed the incredible feat while successfully defending her championship title at the Croham Hurst Golf Club in Surrey, south of London.She hit her first ace on the par-three fifth hole that morning during the 36-hole tournament, before repeating the trick at the same hole during the afternoon.Gibb completed her incredible hat-trick at the par-three 11th and admitted she's still struggling to come to terms with what happened."It was a crazy day and what happened was quite unbelievable, it took its time to sink in," she told CNN Sport."Most people might spend all their lives trying to get one, I got three in five hours."Club pro Adam Aram said he was impressed when Gibb carded the first hole-in-one but by the by the time she sank the third it was "unbelievable.""I said to her what have you been drinking at lunch time, you can't have three holes in one on the same day - two's enough," Aram told CNN Sport."I think after the second win, she was too excited to concentrate and then she had a third -- I don't think she could quite work our what was happening, neither of us could."Before her unforgettable Tuesday, Gibb had registered three hole-in-ones in her entire time playing golf -- her first being at the Atlantic Beach Golf Estate in South Africa."I did some part-time consultancy work for a friend who runs a travel company and the course overlooked the bay," she said."I was thinking, 'that's it I'm done -- I've done my life hole-in-one."But now I have managed to double that -- which was completely unexpected."'You don't play golf'Gibb was introduced to the sport 20 years ago while working in London when a colleague invited her to join their golf day in Woburn, north of London.She immediately turned to her father for advice who had been playing since he was a child."He looked at me and said 'you don't play golf,' I said 'I know that dad, but the golf day is at Woburn, so I need to be able to play,'" she said.Gibb's father taught her some essentials -- like how to get out of a bunker -- and set her off on her way. After a dramatic lead-up, the House of Representatives failed to pass a massive farm bill as Republicans were unable to shore up support from some of their conservative members amid an ongoing party fight on immigration, despite Republican leaders' confident predictions it would pass just minutes before.The vote was 198-213.While Republican leaders said they were confident ahead of the vote, it was clear the bill was in jeopardy, and members of leadership could be seen on the floor holding last-minute negotiations.Complicating matters was a threat by conservatives in the House Freedom Caucus to withhold their support as they sought to get their desired outcome on an unrelated issue involving immigration. Close to 30 Republicans voted against the bill.Democrats, meanwhile, rejected the farm bill out of opposition to stricter work requirements in the food stamps program, formally known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP.The deadline to pass a farm bill is September 30.Republicans want to require more people to work in order to receive the benefits, extending the mandate to parents of school-age children and to those in their 50s.That's the main reason why Democrats are rejecting the bill. They worry the new requirements will prove too onerous for some of the very beneficiaries in need of the assistance. Those who fail to work or enroll in job training could be locked out for up to three years.President Donald Trump voiced support for the bill Thursday in a tweet."Tomorrow, the House will vote on a strong Farm Bill, which includes work requirements. "That is why the farm bill that we are debating today is so critical. It sets up a system for SNAP recipients where if you are able to work, you should work to get the benefits. Amazon has purchased the naming rights to a Seattle arena that will soon house an NHL franchise. But unlike most naming rights deals, Amazon will not be putting its name on the building.Instead, the company says the arena will be named "Climate Pledge Arena" — a name inspired by Amazon's recent billion pledge to fight climate change.The building, formerly known as Seattle Center Coliseum and KeyArena (among other names), initially opened in 1962 and was the longtime home of the NBA's Seattle SuperSonics until the team left for Oklahoma City in 2008. The building has also served as the home for the WNBA's Seattle Storm.In December 2017, Seattle's City Council approved a plan to renovate the arena, hoping to attract new NBA and NHL franchises to the city. Months later, the NHL announced it had granted Seattle an expansion franchise that would start play in the 2021-22 season.It's common practice for sports teams and municipalities to sell naming rights to local stadiums to companies for advertising purposes. About 40 percent of babies born in the United States were born to mothers who were not married, in 2015 according to the United Nations.The statistic comes from the UN Population Fund's annual report, which notes that the rate has steadily increased since 1970, when only 10 percent of children were not born to married parents.The trend is consistent with many Western countries — 60 percent of children were born to unmarried parents in the European Union in 2015, an increase from just under 20 percent in1970.The UN notes that while mothers may not waiting for marriage to have children, it's likely that the children are still growing up with two parents. The study notes that in 2010, 1 in 10 European children lived with a single mother, while 1 in 4 in children lived with an unmarried couple.The study also notes that mothers in the United States are waiting longer to have children.
