(KGTV) -- Despite the pandemic, the 74th annual Mother Goose Parade continues in 2020, although it may look a bit different.This year, the parade and all of its sights and sounds have gone completely virtual for the first time. During a press conference on Wednesday, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden said that he believes the police officers who shot Jacob Blake and Breonna Taylor should be charged with crimes.Biden said that the cases should be handled within the judicial system, but said that the officers in the cases should face charges "at a minimum."Biden added that the person who shot a Trump supporter during a weekend confrontation in Portland, Oregon should also face charges.When asked by reporters how Biden would keep Americans safe in times of civil unrest, Biden said he wouldn't "incite violence" and would condemn it when occurred. He accused Trump of acting "irresponsibly" by not condemning violence amid protests."Protesting is a right and free speech is a right. But to engage in violence: Burning, looting, unrest in the name of protesting is wrong and people should be held accountable," Biden said.Biden added that he "didn't hear much" from Trump in regard to the shooting of Jacob Blake.Biden is scheduled to visit Kenosha tomorrow, where he says he will "meet with community leaders." Biden's visit will come two days after Trump visited the city — a visit that largely consisted of viewing damage caused by riots and meeting with law enforcement officials. Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation's top expert on infectious diseases, said Tuesday that he believes that it's "unlikely" that a viable COVID-19 vaccine will be available before the Nov. 3 general election.Fauci's comments contradict those of President Donald Trump, who implied Monday that a vaccine could be ready by October.During a health forum with Research!America, Fauci said that while it's not impossible for a vaccine to be safely granted Emergency Use Authorization within the next two months, he doesn't think one will be made available until the end of the year.Fauci noted that there are three vaccine candidates currently in the midst of the final phase of testing. Two of those candidates — vaccines made by Moderna and Pfizer — both became the first vaccines to begin Phase 3 testing on July 27.Fauci also noted that both trials are about two-thirds of the way enrolled, and expects those trials to be completely filled by the end of the month. EL CAJON, Calif. (KGTV) -- A woman was arrested Sunday after an El Cajon officer was seriously injured after being dragged by a vehicle earlier in December.According to police, Keani Flores, 28, was a passenger in the vehicle involved in the assault on the officer, Nick Cirello.The driver of the vehicle, David Pangilinan was seen in the Oakhurst area by officers,When police tried to conduct a traffic stop, Pangilinan fled the scene and “evaded apprehension,” police said. Flores was reportedly located at a motel nearby. Authorities are still searching for Pangilinan.Officer Cirello was hit by the vehicle on December 14 on the 100 block of West Washington Street after officers responded to a call regarding a vehicle blocking the roadway with the driver and passenger asleep inside the vehicle.When officers tried to wake the pair up, the driver provided identification for someone else before starting the vehicle.When Cirello tried to stop him, he was dragged before being struck by another vehicle traveling past the scene.Cirello was taken to the hospital before being released on December 18.
