SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer issued a warning to motorized scooter and bike companies, tweeting a letter Friday night. In part it reads, "ongoing violations will result in revocation of your permit to operate within the City, or will serve as justification for not renewing your permit when it expires in six months... It is your responsibility to proactively move your devices within three hours... or it will be impounded."The companies could face an impounding fee of per device.Several riders told 10News they had no idea what the rules for riding and parking scooters were. They didn't know about the 300 freshly painted corrals around San Diego streets.Other infractions include riding on the sidewalk, riding two at a time, ignoring the rules of the road and dumping or parking scooters on the sidewalk."We enjoyed it but I got pulled over by two police officers, they said read the signs there were no signs anywhere," Rider Melissa Sherman said in frustration.The only sign you can see is the painted warning on the foot of the scooters, reading 'do not ride on sidewalk.'"You see them laying all over the ground, wherever, people don't want to take the responsibility of them so it is what it is, everybody has to abide by the rules. you know? SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego Police need help finding a man accused of burglarizing a boat and leaving behind a meth pipe and his own feces. The owner of the boat, Donnie Vachon, is still trying to pick up the pieces since it happened. He's out thousands of dollars due to damage and stolen property."Put it in perspective, it's just a boat, but it's our boat, it's our family's boat, it's my grand-babies boat," said Vachon.The theft happened in September and since then Vachon has heard of two more boat burglaries.He says the same off-brand soda can was left on both his boat and one of the others burglarized."It's kind of a heartbreaker, you wake up and go to work every day and here it sits," said Vachon, looking at the boat parked in the driveway.Detectives have not yet confirmed whether the burglaries are connected but are looking into it.If you have any information, contact Crime Stoppers. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – San Diego Police are investigating after a woman who was shot in Barrio Logan Friday night died.Police were called to the 2400 block of Harbor Drive around 9 p.m. after receiving reports of a woman, later identified as 36-year-old Stephanie Kinman, who was shot in the area.When they arrived, officers found Kinman on the sidewalk near a vehicle.The Kinman was taken to the hospital where she later died.Throughout their investigation, detectives learned that the woman was shot near a pizza restaurant on the 1000 block of Dewey Street before being driven to Harbor drive by a “male companion.”The man told investigators that the victim got into a fight with a man and a woman. After the fight ended, Kinman was shot while getting into her car, police say.The shooter hasn’t yet been captured. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego Police are asking for the public's help in locating a hit-and-run driver who ran over a pedestrian in a wheelchair in the East Village.Police said the pedestrian, a 47-year-old female who was in a wheelchair, was run over at the intersection of F Street and Park Boulevard just before 4 a.m. Saturday. The woman suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries.The vehicle - described as a silver, newer model, SUV - stopped momentarily after running over the woman and her chair, before driving off westbound on F St., police said. The driver then turned northbound on 11th St. and was last seen driving eastbound on E St.Police said the suspected SUV has chrome rims, a tinted sunroof, and possibly tinted windows. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego police are searching for the person who fired a gun into a group of people injuring two teens late Saturday night.Two groups of people began arguing just before midnight at the corner of 30th Street and J Street in the Grant Hill neighborhood, about a block away from Kimbrough Elementary School.The gunman pulled out a handgun and shot a 16-year-old boy in the left calf and a 18-year-old male in the right ankle, authorities said.A possible third shooting victim was located at an area hospital with undisclosed injuries, according to police. No further information was given at this time.The incident is being investigated as gang-related shooting, police said.The suspect, who was last seen wearing a white tank top and dark shorts, fled in an unknown direction, police said. 831
