Loved ones held a fundraiser today for the family of a mother killed by a hit-and-run driver. The CHP says Bernadette Castillo was struck last week along the 94 in Jamul. Her family and friends held a barbeque to raise funds for her funeral at Colina Del Sol Park on Friday.July 27th was a day that Debra Marulli will never forget. "Shock. Pain. A little bit of comfort because I know she’s not hurting," said Marulli. "Somebody loves her. To leave her on the side of the road like she’s an old pet, it's cruel." Loved ones held on to positive memories today while raising money for her funeral. "She was amazing," said Marulli. "She went out of her way to help anybody. She didn’t hold a grudge against people."The CHP has not identified a suspect. MIAMI (AP) — A South Florida high school decided to take the jungle theme for prom a bit too seriously for some students.Students, parents and teachers from Christopher Columbus High School took to social media to say that a wild tiger at last Friday's prom was animal abuse.
