MANILA, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- The following is the full text of a joint statement China and the Philippines issued Wednesday during a state visit by Chinese President Xi Jinping to the Southeast Asian country.

In his message, Li said since the establishment of diplomatic ties, China and Palestine have witnessed close high-level exchanges, deepened political mutual trust, expanded cooperation in various fields and healthy development of bilateral ties.

The agreement was made between Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who is about to wrap up his 6-day visit to China starting from Dec. 5.

Compared with other major economies, China still ranks among the world's top in terms of GDP growth, Xi said.

Parties that have influence in the region should play a constructive role, explore new mechanisms of mediation to break the deadlock in talks between Israelis and Palestinians as soon as possible, he said.
