BEIJING, Aug. 16 (Xinhua) -- China's Foreign Ministry on Wednesday once again asked India to withdraw all its troops and equipment from Chinese territory, as the border standoff in the Dong Lang (Doklam) area approaches its second month.
China's modern armed forces remain committed to peace.
"China will never allow any people, organization or political party to split any part of Chinese territory from the country at any time, in any form," the commentary said.
Chen Liang, 26, had a just such a wedding. With a salary of just 4,000 yuan, his wedding cost the family over 470,000 yuan. Almost half the money was borrowed.
"I am more familiar with the life of taxi drivers than most Beijingers," he says, proudly. "When I see their license number, I can tell how many years they have worked."
