A New York appeals court has cleared the way for a publisher to distribute a tell-all book by President Donald Trump's niece over the objections of the president's brother. The New York State Supreme Court Appellate Division issued the written decision late Wednesday. The appeals court lifted a restraint that a judge put on Simon & Schuster that sought to block its distribution. But it left in place restraints against Mary Trump. She's the author of “Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man.” The publisher, Simon & Schuster, and a lawyer for Mary Trump praised the ruling. An email seeking comment was sent to a lawyer for Robert Trump, who sued Mary Trump. 718
A television network touted by President Donald Trump due to its friendly coverage of his administration has been temporarily suspended by YouTube after one of its videos promoted a fake cure for COVID-19.One America News Network is prohibited from posting new videos to YouTube for a week and will be unable to make money off existing material during that time, Axios reports.YouTube says OANN suffered a "first strike" penalty for violating the company's COVID-19 misinformation policy. TechCrunch reports the video promoting a guaranteed COVID-19 cure has been removed from YouTube. If OANN suffers a third strike within 90 days of the first, the network will lose its YouTube channel permanently.Since Election Day, Trump has prompted both OANN and Newsmax TV — both of which have continuously questioned the results of the election and peddled misinformation about voter fraud. A mural of George Floyd in Salt Lake City, Utah, had black tar thrown on it over the weekend. This is the second time the mural has been defaced, a week after the first vandalism. Police confirmed they are investigating the vandalism and whether it constitutes a hate crime under Utah's new law. As of Monday afternoon, the mural was restored by local artists. The pop art-style mural of Floyd's face was painted by anonymous artists, and has become a makeshift memorial alongside images of others who have been killed by police. Floyd was killed by police in Minneapolis last month after an officer held him down with a knee on Floyd's neck for more than 8 minutes. Floyd is Black, the officer involved is white. The mural in Salt Lake City includes six portraits, Floyd and five whom lost their lives due to police brutality in Utah: Bernardo Palacios, Dillon Taylor, Darrien Hunt, Bryan Pena Valencia and Chad Breinholt. 931
