CARDIFF, Calif. (KGTV) - A pedestrian was struck and killed Saturday night in Cardiff after running across Interstate 5 and into the path of a car, authorities said.The incident happened just before 6:40 p.m. on the northbound lanes of the I-5 near Birmingham Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.CHP officials said the pedestrian, a male in his 20s, was being transported via ambulance from Tri-City Hospital to the VA Medical Center when he suddenly jumped out of the vehicle. The ambulance was traveling between 50 to 60 mph, CHP said.The man survived the jump but proceeded to run across the southbound lanes. He hopped the center divide and was struck by a motorist traveling northbound.CHP said the man died in the collision.The motorist that struck the man remained at the scene and was cooperating with officers.A SigAlert was issued at about 7 p.m. for the three left lanes on northbound I-5. CHP reopened all lanes to traffic just before 9 p.m. 977

Not every app has the same restaurants on them, so you might have to use an app that has the restaurant of your liking.Door Dash was the simplest app to use because there weren’t that many choices or suggestions to help you choose what to eat.Eat 24, like many of the other apps offered food categories like American, Asian and Mexican to help you narrow down your choices.We found when placing your order on each app you had to add your credit card and address, but for Uber Eats you did not. If you have an Uber Ride Share account, it's automatically synced up to that app. It cut the ordering time in half if you were a new user.Although we used Postmates for ordering food, we learned you can use the app for ordering anything. Some use Postmates to order clothes to be picked up or getting an item from the drug store delivered to their house.No matter which app you use there’s a place to save money by adding a promo code. But, you’ll need to watch out for hidden service fees outside of the usual delivery and tax fee.A great feature all the apps have are alerts or push notifications letting you know where your food is and when it will be delivered.Almost every app delivered the food we ordered 10 minutes earlier than their estimated arrival time. (KGTV) -- U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested an El Salvadoran citizen Wednesday they say is a previously deported sex trafficker.Agents say Gloria Reyes-Lopez, 62, (pictured below) was arrested after Border Patrol agents noticed her illegally enter the United States at the El Centro sector around 7:30 Wednesday night.After her arrest, Reyes-Lopez was taken to the Calexico station for processing.“This individual is a convicted felon who preyed on young, innocent children,” said Assistant Chief Patrol Agent David S. Kim. “The men and women of the U.S. Border Patrol are this country’s first line of defense against threats like this.”Reyes-Lopez will be prosecuted for re-entry after removal, according to authorities. 752

Charges have been filed against a California Highway Patrol officer in the Bakersfield area.According to a District Attorney, Brian Pardue is being charged for allegedly attempting to commit a sexual offense against a minor.Pardue's offical charges are a felony, for attempting to contact a minor with intent to commit a sexual offense. And a misdemeanor for arranging a meeting with a person believed to be a minor intending to commit a sexual offense.The incident is believed to have happened on July 3, 2020, and involved digital communications with an undercover law enforcement officer pretending to be an underage minor.
