ADDIS ABABA, Jan. 3 (Xinhua) -- Ethiopia's Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on Thursday met with Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Addis Ababa, capital of the East African country.

Spokesperson Hua Chunying made the remarks at a daily news briefing when asked for comments on the first annual meeting of the China-Japan maritime and air liaison mechanism held Dec. 26 to 27 in Beijing. The two countries signed a memorandum of understanding on setting up the mechanism during Chinese Premier Li Keqiang's visit to Japan in May.

According to the province's annual government report, Xiongan will be the location for Beijing's non-capital functions, a new home for Beijing's colleges, hospitals, business headquarters and financial and public institutions.

China would like to coordinate closely with the FOCAC co-chair Senegal, and promote the efforts in the following six aspects, according to Wang.
