Residents along the coast of New Jersey, New York and parts of New England were placed under a tropical storm watch Sunday as Hurricane Jose inches it way closer to the United States mainland. Meanwhile, a hurricane watch was issued for the US Virgin Islands as Maria became a hurricane Sunday evening. Hurricane Jose packed top sustained winds of 90 MPH as of early Sunday evening. The center of the storm is expected to stay over the Atlantic Ocean, but the storm's backside could scrape parts of the Northeast. The threat of wind, rain and deadly rip currents prompted the National Hurricane Center to place parts of the Northeast under a tropical storm watch. The potential for danger is even greater in the Caribbean. The US Virgin Islands, which took a devastating hit from Hurricane Irma, is under a hurricane watch ahead of Hurricane Maria. Maria packed top winds of 75 MPH as of early Sunday evening. The hurricane is expected to strengthen into a Category 3 storm by Tuesday. After passing near the Virgin Islands, Irma could make a direct impact on Puerto Rico.  1111

Retail giant Target announced that they are giving out more than million in bonuses to frontline employees ahead of the holiday shopping season.On Monday, the company said that more than 350,000 employees - which includes employees who work in stores, the distribution centers, and seasonal hires - will all receive a 0 bonus."In a year like no other, I'm proud of what this team has accomplished and grateful for the care and connection they've provided our guests and communities," said Melissa Kremer, Target's chief HR officer, in a blog post. Question-and-answer website Quora warned late Monday that hackers gained access to the personal data of as many as 100 million of its users.Quora discovered on Friday that one of its systems had been hacked by "a malicious third party," CEO Adam D'Angelo said in a blog post.The compromised information includes users' names, email addresses and encrypted passwords as well as data from social networks like Facebook (FB) and Twitter (TWTR) if people chose to link them to their Quora accounts.The hackers also obtained details about users' activity on Quora, such as questions, answers, upvotes and downvotes. But anonymously written questions and answers were not affected by the breach."The overwhelming majority of the content accessed was already public on Quora, but the compromise of account and other private information is serious," D'Angelo said.The site is now notifying affected users and logging them out."We believe we've identified the root cause and taken steps to address the issue, although our investigation is ongoing and we'll continue to make security improvements," D'Angelo said.Quora bills itself as "a place where you can ask questions you care about and get answers that are amazing."People can post a question to the platform like "What are some amazing facts about Apple, the company?" or "What is the ultimate sandwich?" — and see what answers other users come up with.The site's data breach is the latest in a series of high-profile hacks. 1493

President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign plans on holding rallies as part of their plan to challenge the results of the election, according to multiple reports.Trump has not yet conceded in the presidential race, and lawsuits are still pending in at least two states. Axios first reported the campaign planned on rallies being part of their post-election strategy. The large-scale rallies would be focused on the ongoing litigation and vote tally challenges. A Trump campaign official told Fox News that there are no plans for the president himself to attend the post-election rallies. Instead, they “would be grassroots events similar to the boat parades, not presidential rallies.”The campaign also plans on using obituaries of people who allegedly voted, but are actually dead, as evidence of voter fraud.
