FREETOWN, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- A World Health Organization (WHO) official on Wednesday applauded China's emergency material assistance to Sierra Leone, where more than 300 people have died of the dreaded Ebola virus.

The program featured a special dance created by 93-year-old Cuban ballet legend Alicia Alonso that paid tribute to Chinese culture. Titled "Dancer," the performance incorporated the passionate and dramatic Cuban Ballet with the skills of Chinese Peking Opera accompanied by ancient Chinese music.

Boundary issues were also touched upon during a Chinese and Indian leaders' meeting last week. China is willing to hold peaceful negotiations with India to properly resolve their boundary issues to jointly maintain regional peace and stability, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang told Indian Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari.

Turkmenistan is the first leg of Zhang's three-nation tour, which will also take him to the Czech Republic and Russia.

"China's development will be an important component of the peaceful development of the world," he stressed.
