Police have issued an Amber Alert after a 13-year-old girl was abducted outside her home in Lumberton, North Carolina, Monday morning.Hania Noelia Aguilar was at the Rosewood Mobile Home Park waiting for the rest of her family to come outside and drive to school when she was forced into a car just before 7 a.m. ET, the FBI and Lumberton Police Department say."A witness saw a male subject dressed in all black and wearing a yellow bandana force Hania into a relative's vehicle that was parked in the driveway," the FBI said in a statement."Hania is a Hispanic female, 5 feet tall, weighing approximately 126 pounds. She has black hair, and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue shirt with flowers and blue jeans," it said."Hania's mother asks whoever took her daughter to please bring her back home," the Lumberton Police Department said in a release posted to Facebook.It said Hania was driven away in a green, 2002 Ford Expedition with South Carolina license plate NWS-984. The hood of the car is peeling and there is a Clemson sticker on the rear window.Police, the Robeson County Sheriff's Office, FBI agents and agents with the State Bureau of Investigation are following nearly 50 leads, the release said.CNN affiliate WRAL reported that Hania was an eighth grader at Lumberton Junior High School.It quoted her sister Heylin Perez as saying Hania had gone outside to start the family's car despite her aunt telling her not to."She just got the keys and started to turn it on," Perez said. Pfizer announced Monday that its COVID-19 vaccine candidate has been 90% effective.In a press release, the company said that in Phase 3 trials, the vaccine has proven to promote a vaccine efficacy rate above 90% following the two-shot regimen.The Associated Press said that while Pfizer's announcement means the company is on track to file an application for emergency use authorization later this month, it does not mean a vaccine is "imminent" and more studies are needed.Pfizer's vaccine candidate began Phase 3 testing in the summer and is among a handful of vaccine candidates that could be distributed in the coming months pending FDA approval.Phase 3 trials consist of testing about 30,000 voluntary participants in a double-blind study — meaning half of those participating receive the vaccine, and half receive a placebo. Pfizer's vaccine requires two shots, which need to be taken 28 days apart.According to Pfizer, 90% of those who were tested for the vaccine had developed protection against the virus seven days following the second shot.Pfizer is already in the process of producing millions of doses of its vaccine candidate after the U.S. government agreed to pay .95 billion for 100 million doses of the vaccine, should it prove effective. If and when the FDA grants approval for the vaccine, it will be distributed to hospitals around the country by the U.S. military in an effort the Trump administration has dubbed "Operation Warp Speed.Even though hundreds of thousands of doses of the Pfizer vaccine will be ready for shipment if it is approved for emergency use, it will need to be rationed in the first months of its availability. According to a playbook for "Operation Warp Speed," essential health care workers and people in high-risk populations would have the first opportunity to get a COVID-19 vaccine. PALOMAR MOUNTAIN (CNS) - Due to overnight snowfall and current low temperatures, chains were being required today on Palomar Mountain, the California Highway Patrol said.Only vehicles with chains, or four-wheel drive snow-rated tires, will be allowed access, authorities said."The CHP and the San Diego Sheriff's Department will be patrolling the area to monitor trespassing and make sure the roadways are kept clear of parked vehicles," said Oceanside CHP Officer Mark Latulippe, who pointed out there are limited facilities on Palomar Mountain for food, restrooms and trash.Mountain visitors were being urged to respect the privacy of residents and private property.Officials also recommend using extra caution on slippery roads, reducing speed and increasing following distance due to compromised visibility in wintery conditions.The CHP also reminded visitors to Palomar Mountain to "practice good snow etiquette."That involves:Parking only where legally allowed, and not blocking roadway accessfor emergency vehicles. PEORIA —UPDATE: 10News spoke with Martha Thy's landlord who said she was a loving aunt, sister and daughter. He said he's known the family for 10 years and they are hard workers. He said they were planning on moving to Arizona to be closer to her sister who recently bought a house there.Thy will be brought back to California to be laid to rest.The landlord said he had met Fernando Acosta before, saying he was her boyfriend, and he was a normal guy. He said Acosta had spent some time in jail, but that has not been confirmed by authorities.---------------------A 25-year-old Arizona man who was driving a San Diego-area woman's car is accused of fatally stabbing her after the vehicle veered off a freeway and crashed Friday morning.Fernando Acosta of Phoenix got out of the car and accosted a witness with a knife before repeatedly stabbing Martha Thy of Spring Valley, California, along the Loop 101 freeway in Peoria, according to an Arizona Department of Public Safety probable-cause statement released Saturday.Thy was stabbed while she was still inside the white Lexus sedan and then while on her knees on the ground outside it after she crawled out and closed a door behind her. Acosta initially was in the driver's seat when he began stabbing Thy, who was seated in the passenger seat, the statement said.He then got out of the driver's side of the vehicle, going around to the passenger's side and resuming stabbing Thy before returning to the driver's side when she attempted to get away, the statement said.Thy died at a hospital. The statement said she was stabbed or cut at least 20 times.Several bystanders got out of their vehicles and tried to stop Acosta from attacking the woman.Gustavo Mu?oz was one of those bystanders. When he saw the crash, he immediately pulled over and jumped out of his car to help.“I ran towards the vehicle, and when I got to the other side of the ditch the man comes out with a knife. Hands full of blood. [His] face, body was filled with blood,” said Mu?oz.Mu?oz says he yelled for other drivers who stopped to help.“The guys that were there, they got their gun so we could try to scare him,” Mu?oz said. "One man fired shots at the ground to see if he would drop the knife and stop stabbing the lady that was in the vehicle.”Mu?oz told ABC15 that eventually one man ran and tackled the suspect and knocked the knife from his hands.
