(KGTV) -- An Escondido woman accused in a vehicle crash that killed four people, including two children, pleaded not guilty Wednesday to all charges levied against her.Ashley Rene Williams pleaded not guilty to four counts of murder and four counts of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated during her initial court appearance, which was via video conference.The 28-year-old’s bail was set at million.According to Escondido police, just before 8:30 p.m. on May 5, Williams was driving northbound near Oak Hill Drive and San Pasqual Valley Road when she struck two adults and two children walking in the area.Abel Valdez, 33, and 11-year-old Emmanuel Riva died at the scene. Ten-year-old Yovanny Felix and 50-year-old Carmela Camacho were rushed to the hospital, where they later passed away.The boys were brothers, and Camacho was their grandmother. Valdez was Camacho’s boyfriend, according to a GoFundMe established for the family.Williams was taken to the hospital after also suffering injuries.Following an investigation that involved the analysis of evidence that included cellphone and vehicle computer data, lab test results, and roadway measurements, Williams was arrested at her home on June 4.Prosecutors said Williams was under the influence of drugs and using her cellphone at the time of the collision.10News learned Williams’ driver’s license was already suspended as of Feb. 18, 2020, due to a drug-related offense. DMV records showed she was also involved in a non-alcohol related crash on Dec. 16, 2019.San Diego County Deputy District Attorney Laurie Hauf said, “We believe she is a danger to the community, to the safety of the public, having been advised the last time that driving while intoxicated could kill somebody and she did it anyway.”A readiness hearing for Williams is set for July 7, with a preliminary hearing scheduled in the case for Aug. 20. 1909

  

Walmart, America's largest grocery, will deliver supermarket items to 40% of the nation's homes by the end of the year.Currently, Walmart only delivers online grocery orders to six markets, but it said it plans to expand to 100 different markets by the end of this year.The Walmart delivery service costs .95 per order and requires a minimum purchase.Until now Walmart has primarily offered quick pick-up of online grocery orders at its stores. But it is facing competition for online delivery of grocery purchases.Amazon is also making a big push into same-day grocery deliveries. Last year it purchased Whole Foods for .7 billion, giving it a much bigger network of brick-and-mortar grocery stores.In February Amazon unveiled free two-hour delivery of Whole Foods purchases for Prime members in four markets - Austin, Cincinnati, Dallas and Virginia Beach. It said it would expand that service to every Whole Foods by the end of the year.Target in December announced a 0 million purchase of Shipt. Viral news website Upworthy has laid off a significant chunk of its staff.More than 30 people were let go from the whole company, a spokesperson for Good Media Group confirmed to CNN. The company cited "an increasingly challenging media environment.""Today, we had to make the hard decision to say goodbye to esteemed colleagues," the company said in a statement. "An incredible team remains, and our mission is as relevant now as ever."Editor-in-chief Liz Heron wrote on Twitter that her "entire team" was laid off and she resigned. Senior staff writer Parker Molloy also confirmed her exit on Twitter. Eli Pariser, Upworthy's cofounder and co-CEO, stepped down last week. "I remain very grateful to all the smart, good-hearted people that helped to build something we all believed in," he wrote on Twitter.Upworthy skyrockted to viral fame in 2013 because of its catchy headlines and innovative mastery of Facebook's algorithm. The website is famous for headlines using the "curiosity gap," sentences that end in "You Won't Believe Why."At one point Upworthy attracted 85 million visitors.The website pivoted in 2015, writing original content and hired big names from the Wall Street Journal and New York Times.
