(KGTV) -- The Disneyland Resort announced Tuesday that the park will be closing A Big's Land to make way for a new superhero-themed land.According to the Disney Parks Blog, the Guardians of the Galaxy will be joined by Spider-Man and the Avengers in what will become an immersive superhero universe.The new land will be anchored by the “Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!” in the space occupied by A Bug's Land.RELATED: Disney California Adventure's Pixar Pier to open this summerOn March 19, “It’s Tough to Be a Bug" closed to make way for the new experience. ANAHEIM (CNS) - Disney officials informed Anaheim Wednesday that they have canceled plans for a 700-room luxury hotel at Disneyland Resort in light of the city's decision to scrub tax-incentive deals for the project.The Anaheim City Council voted Aug. 28 to cancel the tax-incentive deals because the project had changed over time, including a new location. Council members also said they were concerned the new location would shutter businesses, costing jobs.Disney officials at the time denied making substantive changes to the project, and said the location shift was minor and still in the same general area.RELATED: Disney puts hotel construction at Downtown Disney in Anaheim on holdDisney spokeswoman Lisa Haines told the Los Angeles Times that while the cancellation of the project "is disappointing for many, the conditions and agreements that stimulated this investment in Anaheim no longer exist and we must therefore adjust our long-term investment strategy."The tax deals were originally meant to spur Disney to build the luxury hotel at the resort and spend millions to expand the company's two theme parks. Construction was scheduled to start this summer, but it was put on hold over details on the development.The hotel was expected to open in 2021 and be the company's fourth at the Disneyland Resort.RELATED: Disneyland agrees to pay its workers an hour"I can't imagine a better piece of property for a hotel in the entire country," Mayor Tom Tait said Wednesday. ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — Sarah Palin's husband, commonly referred to as "Alaska's first dude" when she was governor, appears to be seeking a divorce from his wife of 31 years.Paperwork believed to be from Todd Palin cited "incompatibility of temperament" in seeking to end his marriage to the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee.The filing Friday in Anchorage Superior Court only identified the couple by initials. The initials, birthdates and wedding date match the Palins, as does the initials given for their only young child living at home.The documents list the minor as T.P.V.P., born April 18, 2008, the same date Sarah Palin gave birth to Trig Paxon Van Palin, the youngest of the couple's five children.The Palins married in 1988. After Sarah Palin became governor in 2006, Todd Palin continued to fish commercially and work an oil field job on the North Slope. Their lives were ever changed after Republican presidential candidate John McCain picked Sarah Palin as his running mate.During her speech to the Republican National Convention, Palin talked about her long relationship with her husband."We met in high school, and two decades and five children later, he's still my guy," she said at the time.In the divorce filing believed to be from Todd Palin, he seeks joint custody of the child. He also wants an "equitable division" of marital debts and assets."There is an incompatibility of temperament between the parties such that they find it impossible to continue to live together as man and wife," the complaint said.Kimberlee Colbo, an Anchorage attorney for the plaintiff, didn't immediately respond to requests for comment Monday.
