JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The U.S. Coast Guard announced Thursday that, at sundown, they would be suspending the active search for two firefighters who never returned home after a boating trip off the Florida coast.Officials say Brian McCluney and Justin Walker were last seen leaving a Port Canaveral boat ramp on Friday morning in a 24-foot center console. According to the U.S. Coast Guard, the two men were heading toward 8A Reef, a popular fishing spot. On Monday, crews found a tackle bag belonging to one of the men about 50 miles off the coast of St. Augustine. That bag is the only piece of debris located that belongs to the men during the search. And I always try to be in the room with them, so I can at least be listening to what they're watching to make sure that it's appropriate content for their ages,” Craddock says. Experts say messages from a platform like YouTube or YouTube Kids can be powerful for children. That's why Dr. Andrea Maikovich-Fond, a clinical psychologist at Kaiser Permanente, says opening up a safe and healthy dialogue with kids is the most important thing parents can do. “Letting your children know you are someone safe to come and talk to if it's something they've seen if it's an idea they have, if it's something they're concerned about in terms of their own thoughts or feelings,” Dr. Maikovich-Fond says. The elderly man initially refused medical treatment but went to the hospital later that day. On May 3, police were notified that the man had died from his injuries.Homicide detectives took over the investigation and determined a woman had been arguing with people on the bus.
