A proposed bill moving through California's legislature would — hopefully — eliminate fears of an awful driver's license photo.SB-1407 would allow drivers to have the ultimate say in their license photo. The bill would let drivers take up to three pictures at the Department of Motor Vehicles and then choose which one they like best.Drivers would also be allowed to have their photo taken outside of the DMV by a pre-approved photography center.While all of this sounds great for drivers who loathe their license photo, it could come at a cost. The bill says there would be an extra fee for each additional photo but didn't specify how much. That revenue would be put toward driver's education programs at public schools.So far, the bill has passed through the state Senate Transportation Committee Tuesday and has been referred next to the Committee on Appropriations. 888

A ten-year-old girl who was the subject of an AMBER Alert Monday has been found dead near her home. Kodie B. Dutcher was reported missing Monday afternoon, and a search of her home in Baraboo, Wisconsin found evidence that the girl threatened self-harm. The AMBER Alert message said Dutcher was suspected of taking "an unknown amount of pills and may be suicidal." The girl left behind her shoes and cell phone.Community members gathered to look for her Monday night and again Tuesday morning. No word at this time who found her body. Lt. Ryan Labroscian said a death investigation to determine what happened is now underway, according to Channel 3000 in Madison.Labroscian told Channel 3000 the sad update should remind everyone of the importance of mental health.“I would hope we find ways to, we as in everyone in the state of Wisconsin and our nation, try to find whatever we can to fund more mental health assistance … to help with these sorts of things before they happen,” he said.This is a developing situation - please check back often for updates on this story. 1079

He said that it happened on Monday on Bus 201 near Jones Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue.Leabu says that the bus driver took the water from his own lunch cooler. Although Las Vegas is no longer under an excessive heat warning, it is still very hot in the valley. Monday's high temperature was recorded as 104 degrees with some areas of the valley being hotter and some areas being a couple of degrees cooler.Earlier this month, the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) was handing out free bottled water at various Las Vegas bus stops. Senators can fast track bills as long as no Senators object.“Let's send a message to working families that they are first, not last. A Utah man died flying a Cessna 535 citation jet into his home, where his wife and her son were, early Monday, hours after he was arrested for domestic violence, police said.The incident began at American Fork Canyon, about 35 miles south of Salt Lake City, when the Utah County Sheriff's Office received calls about a domestic violence situation between Duane Youd and his wife on Sunday night, according to Payson Police Department spokeswoman Sgt. Noemi Sandoval."They had been drinking and an argument broke out and he started hitting her and some witnesses called in to police to say a guy was hitting a woman," Sandoval said on Monday.Youd was arrested and was bailed out Monday morning between 12:30 a.m. and 1 a.m., Sandoval said. When Youd asked if he could go back to his home and pick up some belongings, he was escorted by an officer and left the home in his vehicle, police said."He then evidently went to the airplane" after leaving his home, Sandoval said.Around 2:30 a.m., Payson authorities received a call that a plane had crashed into Youd's home.Youd was a professional pilot, Sandoval said. He flew for VanCon, a construction company that owned the plane. Youd was the only person who flew it, Sandoval said.Youd's wife and her son were in the home at the time of the crash, but were able to escape Sandoval said.Neighbors who saw the crash said they couldn't believe it.
