The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office is reviewing a new sexual assault claim against actor Kevin Spacey.The case presented to the D.A.'s office Tuesday, according to The Hollywood Reporter, is the second sexual assault case against the actor.Details of the new case were not immediately provided by the district attorney.The initial case was brought to the D.A. on April 5 by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, though it's unclear which law enforcement agency brought the newest case forward. 528

The NFL is planning on playing “Lift Every Voice and Sing” before all Week 1 football games this fall, a source familiar with the league’s discussions confirmed with EW Scripps on Thursday.USA Today and ESPN first reported that the NFL is in the process of finalizing plans to play the song considered a “Black Anthem.” The source said the song would be performed before the Star Spangled Banner before Week 1 games in September.The source said the league is working collaboratively with players to recognize victims of systemic racism throughout the season through a variety of in-game and programs. Among the items being discussed with players are: on-uniform elements, which could include the names of victims police brutality on helmet decals or jerseys patches and educational programs. The league is also considering public service announcements. The NFL is said to be in discussions with the NFLPA to finalize the plans. The ongoing feud between the National Rifle Association and the medical community continues in wake of a shooting at a Chicago hospital Monday.A recent article published earlier this month by physicians called gun violence a public health crisis and called for tougher gun laws. In response, the NRA tweeted that doctors should “stay in their lane.”The NRA’s response received backlash, with doctors across the U.S. and abroad expressing their disdain using the hashtag #ThisisMyLane, often with graphic images giving a glimpse into emergency rooms after treating victims of gun violence.Monday, gun violence became personal for doctors and nurses at Mercy Hospital in Chicago after a shooter entered, killing an ER doctor, a pharmacy resident and a Chicago Police Officer.Now, another group of doctors are pushing back against the NRA. The National Rifle Association's executive vice president and CEO Wayne LaPierre slammed Democrats for their reaction to the mass shooting in Parkland, Florida, and warned of government overreach extending far beyond the limiting of fire arms."What they want is more restrictions on the law-abiding," LaPierre said on stage at the Conservative Political Action Conference outside Washington.
